Join us this weekend at the annual National NAIDOC Week tree planting day ~ making Our Survival Day 2026 ~ carbon positive, again! 🌱

~ Welcome to Country ~

We're excited to have Josh West beginning the day:

Josh West Bunurong/Palawa is a proud Bunurong man from Point Nepean and Palawa from the Islands of Bass Strait. When Josh was younger, he became a boxer to keep him disciplined and confident. He works at the Bunurong Land Council as a Heritage Officer and is a mentor for youth.

The OSD theme for Jan 26, 2026 was ‘Her Story; Matriarchs of 2026’. In alignment with this theme and the Our Songlines 👣 values which are ingrained in protecting Mother Earth, this event has been our most sustainable one yet! Let's continue caring for country and standing with our Matriarch's by planting new Indigenous plants this NAIDOC week. This event is part of a continuing connection project with Mornpen Landcare Network Regenerating Farms + , creating a vital wildlife corridor on the Mornington Peninsula.

Then there was a whole section about inclusivity (not being a di****ad) and included a section on people struggling with mental health and how it can be really hard to show up sometimes and how events can be overwhelming. 🌿

If you've been following my page for a while then you know that weaving is my mindfulness process, I weave to unwind but also when something is on my mind that needs deep thinking.
I created a piece recently when I was really struggling with my anxiety and I needed to distress and it ended up being one of my favourite pieces because it cleared my head and felt like I was being calmed by an ancient process.
