The Hastings District Flying Club is thrilled to announce two Flying Scholarships valued at $1,500 each for 2025, designed to inspire and support young people in the Hastings District who dream of taking to the skies.
✈️ One of these scholarships has been generously donated by Matthew Baker, a former HDFC flying student who’s now flying with Cathay Pacific — proof that dreams really can take flight from right here in Port Macquarie!
Recipients will receive:
✈️ $1,500 from HDFC (matched with $1,500 contribution from the recipient = $3,000 flight credit)
✈️ HDFC Membership
✈️ BAK Theory Book and Logbook
✈️ Professional flight training in our modern Sling2 aircraft

Fantastic flying from Sam! This was his very first PPD along with his brand new Pilot Certificate! Sam also scored 50 points on the ground for his Forced Landing.
