Kindy Minds: Empowering the First Year of School 🍎✨

The transition to Kindergarten is a big milestone! Kindy Minds is specifically designed for children currently in their first year of primary school. We act as a safety net. Keeping confidence high, closing learning gaps, and reinforcing the foundations of literacy and numeracy in a familiar, supportive space. 🌈

• ⏰ When: Monday afternoons | 3:45 PM – 4:30 PM
• 🗓️ Dates: Starting Monday, February 23rd (Running weekly throughout the NSW school term)
• 📍 Where: Prep Mini Minds HQ – The Outer Hall, 18 McIntyre Close, Port Macquarie
• 💰 Investment: $45 per 45-minute session
• 🧠 The Focus: Targeted Phonics, Reading Fluency, Early Writing, and Number Confidence.

There’s a common myth that teachers push for independence just to make their own lives easier. But as a Kinder teacher, I’ve seen the truth: Independence = Confidence = Academic Success. 💡

When a child starts school, their "cognitive cup" is only so big. If that cup is filled with 100% anxiety about... 🧣 Putting on a jumper 🍱 Opening a tricky lunchbox 🚽 Asking to go to the bathroom 🤝 Introducing themselves to a new friend..there is no room left for learning! 🧠🚫

When a child is overwhelmed by simple tasks, their brain stays in "survival mode." While the rest of the class is starting to blend sounds and learn to read in those first few weeks, an anxious child is often too "stuck" to take that information in.
