Providing hands on marine education to the local community Port Macquarie Marine Discovery Centre is an annex of Newman Senior Technical College.
Centrally located on the beautiful NSW Mid-North Coast, the Port Macquarie Marine Discovery Centre is a short walk from the extensive Hastings River estuary. The Marine Discovery Centre offers opportunities for students from Pre-school to Year 12 to engage in meaningful and worthwhile activities relating to the Marine Environment. We are now recruiting volunteers for programs throughout the 2023 school holidays and school terms.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping out at the Marine Discovery Centre with a range of activities from squid dissections to live touch tank animals join us now.
No experience necessary just a willingness to learn cool facts about the ocean and enjoy working with a variety of community and school groups.
