Hastings District Flying Club (HDFC) Port Macquarie brings aviators, their family and friends together. There is an obvious air of camaraderie in HDFC.

We're a flying club and RA-AUS flying school at Port Macquarie Airport. The Hastings District Flying Club has a long and proud history dating back to 1958. It operates a flying club and Recreational Aviation flying school out of Port Macquarie on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, with a hangar and club house at the airport. Luke Everson - wins August PPD!
This is Luke’s second win for 2026 which is incredible considering that he only gained his Pilot Certificate last year. Very impressive!

Mike Lee - achieves FIRST SOLO!
Huge congratulations to Mike Lee who today, 14.7.2026 flew his FIRST SOLO Flight. He achieved this in 10 hours so quite a remarkable effort. Mike travelled over from Hong Kong to spend 10 days in Port Macquarie to gain some flying experience with HDFC. He will now go back to Hong Kong and pursue his dream of becoming an airline pilot with Cathay Pacific Airlines. We wish this fine young man great success.
