AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION 2026 - LIAM 🥇

Liam brought home gold in the Gi at the Australian National Championship after a dominant performance, submitting both of his opponents.

He is a dedicated member of our Youth Team. He trains every day, is passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and continues to step up & test himself in competition.

Liam also competed in No Gi and earned silver finishing an incredible weekend with gold and silver at the national level.

Hard work pays off. We are very proud of you Liam.

BLUE BELT AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION 🥇

Barry has been putting in the work all year at Evolve BJJ, training hard and chasing his goals. This weekend in Melbourne it all came together.

Barry won gold in his Blue Belt weight division at the Australian National Championship with a dominant performance from start to finish. He also stepped up in the Open Weight division and brought home bronze.

It was an amazing weekend away with our team. Watching everyone come together and manage their nerves before matches, celebrate wins, pick each other up after tough losses and keep going. That’s what competing as a team looks like.

Preparing for the biggest competition in Australia, travelling together and being there for one another through it all.

We are very proud of everyone who competed and grateful for everyone who travelled to Melbourne to share this experience with us.

2026 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION 🥇

Congratulations Professor Israel.

Yesterday in Melbourne, Professor Israel won gold in the Black Belt division at the Australian National Championship. Years of dedication all leading to this moment on the biggest stage in Australian BJJ.

What made this weekend even more special was having his daughter Alana competing alongside him in the Blue Belt division. A father and daughter on the national stage together, sharing the weekend with their family and our team.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION GLENN 🥇

Glenn won his Blue Belt No Gi weight division yesterday in Melbourne and is 2026 Australian National Champion.

He has trained hard all year and worked towards his goals at Evolve BJJ. It showed here in Melbourne this weekend. His family was here to celebrate it with him which made the moment even better.

Glenn was back on the mat today in the Gi and brought home silver as well.

Today in Melbourne Professor Egor won double gold at the Australian National Championship taking out the Black Belt No Gi Heavyweight and Open Weight divisions.

With three matches. Three wins. Zero points scored against him.

COFFS COAST CUP 2026

Yesterday our team spent the day in Woolgoolga for the Coffs Coast Cup and it was a great day for our community.

Some of our students competed for the first time. Some stepped up and fought against higher belts and weight categories but everyone found courage and gave it everything they had. Wins were celebrated and losses handled with grace.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is built on teamwork, respect and camaraderie and our team brought all of that to the competition yesterday. Watching our students be brave, come back from a tough match and keep going is something that makes us very proud.

Thank you to all the families who travelled and cheered every step of the way. That support means a lot to us.

Coffs Coast Open - The Trilogy

BLUE BELT | MARK TARLETON

Mark started his Jiu Jitsu journey after watching his daughter Evie start training. He decided he wanted to learn alongside her to understand what she was learning and to share the journey together as father and daughter.

Since then Mark has shown up consistently, pushed himself every session, helped new students find their feet and had great success in the competition scene. Winning every tournament he has competed.

He is tough, humble and always willing to grow.

That is what we believe a martial artist looks like. And that is exactly what Mark represents.

Congratulations on your Blue Belt Mark. This is just the beginning and we are proud to be on this journey with you and your family.
