Raising awareness in October 🥰
October is Dyslexia and ADHD Awareness Month
October is recognised around the world as a time to shine a light on Dyslexia and celebrate the strengths, stories, and successes of those who experience it.
This year’s ADHD Awareness Month theme, 'The Many Faces of ADHD', reminds us that ADHD looks different for everyone, and understanding those differences helps us create a more supportive and inclusive community.
Here at St Joseph’s, students have been getting involved in lots of great ways, watching short films, reading stories, and having open conversations with their peers and teachers about neurodiversity and what it means.
To show our support, students are invited to wear 'a touch of red' with their school uniform this Wednesday, 22 October, in recognition of Dyslexia and ADHD Awareness Month.
If you would like to learn more about Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, or ADHD, or have any questions, you are always welcome to get in touch with our P-12 Inclusive Education Learning Leader, Tara Clark, here at school.
