As part of our book week celebrations Early Years Education Society (EYES) donated a book to every Rocky Lakes student from kindy, pre-primary and year 1. That was almost 150 books!

Over the past 2 days our year 3 and 4 students visited the Constable Care Safety School. They learnt all about road, pedestrian and bike safety. They got to practice what to do in all kinds of road conditions including roundabouts, rail crossings, give way signs, crosswalks, traffic lights and many more. They also got to practice how to manage these while riding bikes. The students and staff all had fun riding the bikes on the safety track!
So much great learning and fun was had!

Last week our school celebrated NAIDOC week- 50 years of Deadly!
Our students engaged in many cultural activities with their buddy classes including Deadly drawings inspired by this years art design, Dreamtime stories, creating artworks and making serpents.
On Friday we closed the week with our annual family morning tea and an amazing performance by Gina and Daniel who sang to students in Noongar language and taught them different song lyrics and dances.
It was a fantastic week full of learning and experiences 🖤💛❤️💚💙

Wow wow wow Rocky Lakes!
Our interschool RASSA cross country team did so well today!
They showed great behaviour and sportsmanship and came away with some amazing individual results.
Out of 12 schools we also came 2nd overall! We could not be prouder of all of our students who represented the school today.
Well done team!

On Friday our PP-year 3 students attended an incursion with the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. The show was called Level up! It was all about Friendship, gaming and growing up.
There were 2 performers who acted out the whole show with 70 puppets, props and laser lighting! The students loved the show!

Today our pre-primary to year 2 students celebrated 100 days of school! Our students had some great and creative outfits and engaged in lots of activities involving the number 100!
