On Tuesday 15th September, 26 ECTARC team members from across our Early Childhood Services and Training Services teams came together to attend the annual South Coast Child Wellbeing Network Conference at The Pavilion Kiama.

This year’s theme, Belonging and Togetherness: Championing Inclusion and Challenging Discrimination, provided an opportunity to learn, reflect and connect with others who share our commitment to creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments for children, young people and families.

With inspiring keynote speakers, thought-provoking workshops and opportunities to hear directly from young people, the day encouraged us to consider how we can continue to challenge discrimination, strengthen belonging and ensure every child and young person feels valued and included.

We’re proud of our ECTARC team for continuing to invest in learning and bringing new ideas and perspectives back to our services. πŸ’œ

Together, we can create environments where every child belongs.

🌟 One step at a time!

Balancing, climbing, and moving through physical challenges helps children develop coordination, strength, and body awareness. Experiences like these encourage persistence, resilience, and confidence as children test their abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

We love watching children achieve new milestones through active play.

Shifting Conversation to Action for Child Protection Week 2026

Today, ECTARC staff joined fellow community organisations at the South Coast Child Wellbeing Network's Family Fun Day at Warrawong Plaza.
It was wonderful to see so many families taking part in the activities, connecting with services, and learning more about the support available to parents and caregivers in our community.
Events like these are a valuable reminder that keeping children safe and supported is a shared responsibility. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and learn more about the ways ECTARC and other local organisations are working together to support children and families to thrive.

πŸ’› Don't wait for the signs. Start the conversation.

A simple "R U OK?" can open the door to connection, support and understanding.

People often remember how someone made them feel heard, valued and cared for. By checking in and listening without judgement, you can help someone feel less alone.

πŸ“£ Ask R U OK? Any Day because one conversation could make a lasting impact.
