Port Hedland Primary School ELP

Port Hedland Primary School ELP Port Hedland Primary School BHP Early Learning Program is for all children and their families from 0-4 years of age.

The program is designed to support parents to develop their skills of enhancing early literacy as their child’s first teacher.

11/08/2022

Our ELP is run by a qualified teacher who has been trained in the 3a Abecedarian approach. The 3a approach is a set of evidence-based teaching and learning strategies for early childhood educators and parents to use for children from birth to five.
This approach focuses on:
Language priority
Learning games to develop skills
Conversational reading (developing back and forth communication)
Enriched caregiving (learning to add educational content to daily routines of care)

Families are encouraged to get to know the teacher and be involved in school programs to build early relationships with the school.
