Moyneyana / Year 6 Morning Tea ☕️🍰
This week we held our annual Moyneyana + Year 6 Morning Tea, a very special tradition here at St Pat’s. We love welcoming so many familiar faces back to school, including some who were once St Pat’s students themselves!
As part of our hands-on learning program, our Year 4 and Year 6 students put their Food Technology skills into action, preparing delicious sausage rolls, slices and scones to share at the morning tea. Thank you to Georgina and Radush for facilitating this program for our students!
Last term, our Knitting Club had the wonderful opportunity to learn how to knit with Rachel from the Port Fairy Textiles Store. Each week, they then visited the ladies at Moyneyana to practise and refine their skills. It was lovely to be able to return the favour and welcome the Moyneyana community to our school, with Rachel also joining us for morning tea.
The Mini Vinnies Knitting Club then came back to school and has continued to grow. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Tracey runs knitting sessions where students from across the school, with all different abilities, can come together, spend time with one another and enjoy an hour of knitting.
We are so lucky to be part of such a wonderful community in Port Fairy. The generosity of so many local adults who give their time, skills and resources to our children is helping to create a beautiful culture of giving. We hope our students carry that same spirit of generosity with them now and into the future. ❤️
