🍝 BOOK WEEK 🍝
SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

Our OSHC students have been cooking up an absolute masterpiece for Book Week!
Since our Before and After School Care crew don’t always get to join in for book week (they participate at school), they took matters into their own hands... by turning Miss Jules into a giant, walking plate of spaghetti!

They spent all week snipping yarn noodles, twisting the perfect brown pom-pom meatballs, and engineering a massive tinfoil fork for her head

Now, the children are on a mission to help Miss Jules win the Educators costume comp, and they need YOUR help!

⛳️ FRIDAY GOLF ⛳️

This afternoon, the children enjoyed the beautiful weather outdoors during our special Friday golf clinic with Miss Renata!

Taking advantage of the open grassy space, the children practiced their stances, grips, and swings. Miss Renata provided wonderful hands-on guidance, helping the younger children find their correct form, while older peers confidently practiced their technique side-by-side. Using colorful plastic training balls and cones to safely mark their stations, the children demonstrated excellent focus, hand-eye coordination, and patience as they took turns teeing off. It was fantastic to see their persistence as they concentrated on making solid contact with the ball.

Queensland’s Reportable Conduct Scheme is now live.

At Port Explorers, creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for every child is at the heart of everything we do. We are one of an estimated 10,000 organisations participating in Queensland’s Reportable Conduct Scheme, which helps ensure concerns about child safety are appropriately reported and investigated.

We are committed to meeting the Queensland Child Safe Standards, the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, and all child protection and Blue Card requirements. Our team also participates in ongoing training to ensure we continue providing the highest standards of care and safety for children and young people.

Welcome to term 2 everyone! Don’t forget, today is the first day we can take bookings for the next school holidays, and we WILL be all booked out very soon so email us with your requirements asap.

Note: All permanent BSC/ASC bookings are rolled over this week but if you change your booking throughout the term, it does not change your VAC booking.
