Port Augusta Pony Club The Port Augusta Pony Club aims to encourage young people to ride horses and to learn about and enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding.

We provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and also in the proper care of horses in a safe and inclusive environment
The Port Augusta Pony Club strives towards a fun and informative learning environment for all. We are a friendly, family-oriented club run by hard working volunteers. We have fantastic facilities and invite you to visit for a Pony Club Rally or one of our shows. FACILITIES
Port Augusta Pony Club has fully fenced grounds with ample float parking, a secure bull ring, fenced dressage arena, two large open work areas, lights on the main arena, large clubhouse including a canteen, toilet, 21 large undercover stables and 9 day stalls. RALLIES
We hold monthly rallies generally on the second Saturday of the month. Stay tuned to our page for what is happening at our awesome club! HIRE
The Port Augusta Pony Club facilities can be hired through-out the year. Port Augusta Pony Club is a well-known resting point for people travelling through Port Augusta with their horses. There is a large bullring and fenced dressage arena which provides a great opportunity for horses to walk around and stretch their legs, especially after a long journey. Hiring Costs
Stables: $15.00 per horse (you clean your yards)
$25.00 per horse (we clean your yards)
Ground Hire Fee: Contact to discuss your requirements for costings

Well, I think I am officially extremely well acquainted with my car after the last couple of weeks! 😂

I hate to think how much diesel I’ve put through it, but it’s been wonderful getting back out on the road and meeting so many lovely people (and horses) along the way.

I’ve still got plenty of things to get set up and organised with the new vehicle, but so far, so good! 🚙🐴

Next trip: I’ll be heading back to Port Augusta, where I’ll be spending the morning at the Pony Club presenting a saddle fitting demonstration and helping out for the day.

I’ll then be taking saddle fitting bookings at the club grounds that afternoon.

I’ll also be stopping into Port Pirie on Sunday the 15th, and I’m happy to take bookings there as well.

If your saddle needs checking, adjusting or you’re looking at something new (or second-hand), send me a message to book in. 😊

More kilometres, more horses and plenty more saddle fitting adventures to come!

🐴🌿 PAPC ADVENTURES 🌿🐴

What a fantastic day we had yesterday exploring the trails around Bangor!

We had 11 riders saddle up for the day, along with a wonderful support crew who helped make everything run smoothly. There were plenty of trails to explore, beautiful scenery and, of course, a few sheep and alpacas to keep things interesting along the way! 🐑🦙

After the ride, everyone settled in for a well-earned BBQ lunch, with the horses having a rest while riders, families and helpers enjoyed some time together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, helped out and made the day such an enjoyable one. 💚

Days like this are exactly what Pony Club is all about — getting out with our horses, trying something different and enjoying it together.

We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!

What a fantastic day at our Come & Try Day! 🐴☀️

Seeing so many smiling faces and happy kids enjoying their first horse ride was something really special. For many of our little riders, today was their very first time on a horse!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a success. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

A very special thank you also goes to our incredible volunteers, instructor, helpers and horses. Days like today simply wouldn’t be possible without your time, patience and dedication.

We can’t wait to see some of our new riders back at the club soon! 💚🐎
