What an absolutely fabulous experience for our Upper Primary students today! A show at the theatre followed by a garden tour and tastings at Urumbula. Biggest thank you to Country Arts SA and John Pirie Secondary College for making all this happen. The kids really loved it and the snakes were a huge hit!

This week we have been celebrating the magic of Book Week!
Our students participated in a range of fun and engaging reading activities throughout the week, exploring new stories, favourite characters and the wonderful world of books.
We finished the week with our much-loved Book Week Costume Parade!
It was fantastic to see our students (and staff!) getting into the spirit and bringing their favourite book characters to life. Here are just a few of the amazing and creative costumes that were on display.

Monday 31st August is a Student Free Day
There will be no school for students on this day as staff will be undertaking professional learning and planning.
Students will return to school as normal on Tuesday 1st September.

Our Year 6 students were super lucky today to have a visit from ex-Willsden students who came to chat about PASS and answer all our questions about high school next year. It was such a great way to ease some nerves and get excited about the transition! Our students were especially keen to show off their garden and they’re already asking if they can create one at PASS when they start next year. We loved seeing their enthusiasm and can’t wait for what’s ahead!

Science Week Fun – Last Friday Miss Finch’s class dove into the ‘Making it Rain’ experiment, and before we knew it, science turned into a playful foam fest! There were giggles, lots of mess, and plenty of fun happening.

Bullying No Way Week
As part of Bullying No Way Week, we were lucky to have Emily from the Port Augusta Police Station visit our school to talk with our students about bullying.
Emily shared some really important information about what bullying is, how students can respond, and where they can go for help. She also provided our students with valuable resources and phone numbers they can access if they ever need support.
Of course, the highlight of the afternoon was getting the chance to check out the police equipment! Our students loved having a closer look and asking questions.
A huge thank you to Emily for taking the time to visit our school and help our students understand the importance of speaking up, supporting each other and making sure everyone feels safe and included.
