During Reconciliation Week, Augusta Park Primary School proudly embraced the theme “All In” engaging students and staff in a meaningful and inclusive range of activities to honour the school’s commitment to reconciliation.
Throughout the week, Augusta Park Primary students participated in a wide array of class-based and whole-school events which promoted understanding, respect and empathy. In some classes, students created beautiful reconciliation hands, each hand representing both a personal and collective commitment to reconciliation.
The “All In -What Reconciliation Means to Me” activity helped older students to voice their thoughts, while younger classes engaged in group readings such as “Sorry Day” by Coral Vass, fostering early discussions around truth-telling and history. Art played a role, with each class contributing to a collaborative display.
Family and community members attended the Community Breakfast and contributed to a powerful sense of partnership and shared commitment. The week concluded with a special Reconciliation Week Assembly where classes shared their learning and celebrated the strengths and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Community Breakfast- Reconciliation Week
At Augusta Park Primary School we came together as a community to mark the beginning of Reconciliation Week with a wonderful breakfast. Thank you to everyone—students, families, staff, and community members—who joined us to share in conversation, respect, and unity.
Reconciliation Week is an important time to reflect, learn and celebrate the shared histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It was fantastic to see so many people participating and building connections over a meal.
We look forward to continuing meaningful conversations and learning together throughout the week.

We are so proud of the way they represented our school, showing fantastic teamwork, effort and sportsmanship throughout the carnival. Well done, boys!
