Calling for lead actors for our next quality no-budget feature film, to be shot in Port Adelaide on weekends in January/February. (See character description near the end of this post). What we really want is a father-daughter acting team (but realise this is a tall order). This brilliant, well-polished drama script is my third no-budget feature.
"Hand Gr***de" is a gay-themed, family relationship drama, including an ensemble cast. It centres on a le***an with her younger gay brother who live in one house with their respective partners. While trying to have a baby with her brother's partner, they have a metaphorical hand gr***de thrown into their lives with the unexpected arrival of a teenager on their doorstep.

Previous features by Dale Street Studios include "Performance Anxiety" which helped launch the career of Luke Mitchell of "Home & Away", "The Tomorrow People" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." fame.
Director – Paul Dangerfield. Producer – Colin J. Pearce. It is a South Australian script by writer Genevieve McQueen. The script has been polished by award-winning script consultant Ren Thackham. We're very confident in the quality of this script, and believe it has great potential.
Therefore we're looking for film actors who have great potential and are motivated to go far in this industry, like Luke Mitchell did following our first feature. A feature film looks great on any film resume. The experience is invaluable. However we need quality to do justice to this terrific script. We also need commitment, as you must be prepared to see the film through to its conclusion.
Filming locations primarily in Port Adelaide. Main filming on weekends, every weekend in January and February, perhaps some in March. Pre-production work in December. We do not propose working over Christmas/New Year (24 Dec to 2 Jan).
We will be looking for the majority of the cast and crew in about a month, but for the moment we're looking for our lead actors. Auditions are this Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, in Port Adelaide. They are not open auditions, so please request a time and day. Not everyone who applies will get to audition.
