SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Cathy and Greg are retiring!

What a wonderful journey the last 28 years have been! We built the Centre back in 1994 with two rooms, and have expanded over the years as Pomona and surrounding districts have grown.
During this time, we have had the great privilege of providing a wonderful environment for thousands of children and a happy, secure, “home away from home” for families.

With both of us coming from teaching backgrounds, we have always been passionate about providing children with a high quality education and care experience.
I (Cathy) have loved it so much I often referred to it as, “my baby”. We have always endeavoured to foster a great team culture amongst our educators and feel very proud of the teams we have built.
We would like to acknowledge a few of our team members who have, over the years, made a significant impact on, and an extremely valuable contribution to this service. A big thank you goes to two of our previous Kindergarten Teachers, Jenny Brooks & Tracey Worboys (retired Dec ’22) and Cynthia Brennan all of whom, played an integral part in ensuring this Centre was continually assessed as an “Exceeding Service”. We would also like to make a very special mention to our long serving Peta Hempsall, who has been with us since the year we opened, we can’t thank her enough for her loyalty and dedicated service.
Thank you so very much Peta! We would also like to express our gratitude to Leonie and our current educators for being valuable members of our current team.

Throughout our years of ownership, we have been committed to providing a wonderful, safe & happy learning environment. We were passionate about retaining this service as a family owned and operated centre (becoming a rarity these days!). We will be handing over to a very experienced and energetic couple Nerida and Craig Atkinson. They, like us, are very passionate about Early Childhood Education & Care and will bring with them many exciting and amazing changes. We are thrilled about the future direction of the Centre!

Our last day as Approved Providers will be Friday 10th March.

Day 2 of Kids Gourmet Food
Lunch today was Japanese inspired chicken rissoles with brown rice and teriyaki sauce, and vegetarian option was white bean and vegetable coconut curry with jasmine rice.
For our little ones it was chicken, red lentils and carrot mash and the purée option was broccoli, cauliflower and potato purée

COOK POSITION AVAILABLE

We are looking for a cook to take over daily kitchen duties. The successful applicant should enjoy food preparation and be willing to be creative and prepared to undertake food safety training (service pays) and other professional development as required as well as obtaining a Blue Card. This position could also include a dual cook/educator position for those interested in enrolling in Certificate III Children’s Services or already qualified.
Time: Cook- 7:00am to 10:30am 5 days a week. Cook/Educator- 7:00am to 2:00pm
Duties: Prepare nutritious meals for the children at the service, review recipes, order food, and maintain a clean work environment.
Remuneration: Children’s Services Award, Support Worker Level 1 or 2 (experience)
Position available from early December.
