New workbench coming along nicely!! Might give it a coat of paint! Hmm what colour?? Tool bench is a teal colour.
Edit: 11 July 2022 decided to change how the wheels work, as bench too heavy to lift, giving be trouble but I'm getting there.

Well that was timely!
Ended up with this much cotton left on the spool, was a 100m roll, and I had changed the bobbin colour twice so luckily I had some very close colours.
Thankfully, as I had to get these done by tonight, now to sew the ribbon on!!
Recently had 2 new "students" Mrs T wanting to learn about sewing by machine and Miss G wanting to catch up and improve on math and other subjects.
Loving tutoring both!

MissE5 started Prep this year so this afternoon I gave her a helping hand with reading and learning her !!
Have an appointment to help MrJ16 on Tuesday afternoon to catch up on what he missed during covid lockdown.
here's some patterns - can you see them? and other notable English language features(bugs)!!
English Patterns - used incorrectly can cause visual and auditory angst (for me at least)
here is in there & where - location
ear is in hear - listening
heir is in their - personal/ownership
your = ownership - it's your go/car/vision, etc..
you're = you are somewhere, something, etc..
you've = you have
you'd = you did/would
answer in a sentence as a definition (see above)
they're =
their =
there =
now use all three in one sentence...
does verses dose - the nurse does dose you with medicine
and, despite the Pajama Foundation ad on TV a few years back it's pronounciation, not pronunciation.
this one has been irking me recently
dour
/ˈdʊə,ˈdaʊə/ (phonetics)
adjective
relentlessly severe, stern, or gloomy in manner or appearance.
"a hard, dour, humourless fanatic"
sour
/saʊə/ (phonetics)
1. having an acid taste like lemon or vinegar.
"she sampled the wine and found it was sour"
notice the phonetics are the same?? so why do some audiobook narrators pronounce it "doer" rather than "dower" - as does Google define .....
for an understanding of how phonetic symbols are used https://www.ling.upenn.edu/courses/Fall_2014/ling115/phonetics.html
My favourite maths patterns
1*9=09
2*9=18
3*9=27
4*9=36
5*9=45
6*9=54
7*9=63
8*9=72
9*9=81
10*9=90
the number 3!!
you will possibly die if (some people can outlast but most can't)
you are without air for 3 minutes
you are without water for 3 days (sleep possibly too)
you are without food for 3 weeks
you are more likely to remember things if they are repeated at least 3 times - see marketing and advertising strategies!!
Also, if you try to remember things rather than try not to forget things!! double negatives are bad for your memory.
This also affects your performance - eg telling a child "don't fall out of the tree" they've climbed. People often miss the first word or do what's spoken whilst their attention is attracted, so the child's brain concentrates on falling out of the tree and then the parent wonder's why the child fell! As far as their brain is concerned, that was what they were told to do!!
here's a test for parents - try to go just one day without using negative instructions - eg say "remember" instead of "don't forget" and things like "climb down carefully' rather than "don't fall" - it's harder than you might think!
Phonetic symbols This list includes phonetic symbols for the transcription of English sounds, plus others that are used in this class for transliterating or transcribing various languages, with the articulatory description of the sounds and some extra comments where appropriate.

How many people know what a past participle is, and how to use them in speech and writing??
I can't stand it when people use the past words and past participle incorrectly!!
eg: I done this, I seen that...
should be
I have done this and I have seen that!
What kind of verb is done?
A past participle
Done as a Verb. Done should not be used alone as the verb of a sentence. It is a past participle. It must always follow an auxiliary verb like has, have, am, is, are, was, were, or one of their contractions.
