On Friday 22nd of May, the Year 12 VCE VM students ventured to Queen Victoria Market. 🍎🍊🧀🥓 It was a great opportunity to prepare for the annual Year 12 VM food stall fundraiser on June 3. Looking forward to the delicious food the students will make! 😋😋

ALUMNI SESSION
Neda (Peer 2024) and Mannat (2025) shared their study strategies with our year 12 Legal Studies and Health and Human Development students. The class were receptive and inquisitive, asking relevant questions.

Is your child in Year 9? Are they a high achiever?
A reminder that our ACE Program applications have been open since April, and will close next week, Friday the 29th of May.
Our ACE Program is tailored to high achieving students who wish to be extended in their learning. Students will get a tailored educational plan to support their career goals, and will have additional opportunities to academic support and excursions.
All high achieving Year 9 students who live in our school zone are welcome to apply.

On Wednesday, the Year 10 Drama students ventured to the city to the Melbourne Theatre Company HQ to find out about what goes on behind the scenes of theatre productions.
They then continued the day to Her Majesty’s Theatre to watch the hit Broadway musical “Waitress”. What a lucky bunch of students!

PCSSC were fortunate to have Kaitlyn (2018), Sohail (2020), James G. (2021), Casey (2021) and Pavel (2021) volunteer their time to talk with our year 11 students about their current careers.
The alumni session was insightful, highlighting tertiary education, the career path taken, industry challenges, role expectations and daily tasks.

International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia is this Sunday, 17th of May.
Tomorrow, Thursday 14th of May, our LGBTQIA+ club that runs every week will be hosting some fairy bread for students to enjoy. 🧚 🍞
On Friday 15th of May, students will be able to wear rainbow accessories to school. This includes makeup, hair ties, bows, jewelry, socks and scarves. Changes to the regular school uniform will not be permitted.
At Point Cook Senior, we are always proud of the diversity of our students and community, and are so excited to be celebrating this day. 🌈🌈
