NUTRITION FOOD PYRAMID 🍓🍒🥦🥕🍞🥖🍗🥛🧀🧈

Children explored healthy eating by learning about the food group pyramid. They sorted different foods into categories such as fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates, meat and dairy products. The children enjoyed discussing healthy choices and recognising familiar foods from home. This activity supported their cognitive development, language skills, healthy lifestyle awareness, and sorting abilities while encouraging meaningful group discussions.

OUTDOOR FUN GAMES

Children had lots of fun playing the “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” movement game along with an exciting cup game outdoors. The children enthusiastically followed actions, sang along, and enjoyed balancing and moving the cups with their friends. This playful experience supported listening skills, body awareness, coordination, turn-taking, and social interaction. The children laughed, stayed active, and confidently participated throughout the activity.

PIPE CLEANER FISHES

Children explored creativity by making fish using chenille sticks, using their imagination and fine motor skills to shape and design. They then floated their fish in water, observing how objects move and stay afloat, building early understanding of basic science concepts.

Using a skewer, children picked the floating fish from one bucket and transferred them to another, strengthening hand–eye coordination, control, and concentration. This activity also encouraged problem-solving, patience, and active engagement through sensory play.

ICE PAINTING SENSORY PLAY 🧊🎨🖌️🫟

The children explored a fun and colourful sensory activity using ice cubes dipped in rainbow paints. As they held and moved the cold ice across the tray, they watched beautiful colours spread and blend together.

They showed great curiosity and excitement, laughing as the ice melted and created unique patterns. This activity supported their sensory exploration, creativity, and fine motor skills while encouraging them to experiment with colours and textures.

It was a joyful and engaging experience, and the children had lots of fun learning through play.

Holi Fire Craft Activity 🔥🎨

To celebrate the festival of Holi, the children engaged in a creative fire craft activity using matchsticks. They carefully arranged the matchsticks on paper to form a fire shape, representing the traditional Holi bonfire.

The children explored their creativity by adding bright colours around the flames, making their artwork vibrant and meaningful. This activity supported fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and encouraged an understanding of cultural traditions.

It was wonderful to see the children focused and excited while creating their own Holi fire craft! 🔥✨

Rainbow Clouds Sensory Activity 🌈☁️

The children enjoyed a fun and colourful sensory activity where they used their fingers dipped in bright paints to create beautiful rainbow shapes. They carefully explored each colour, using their sense of touch.

This activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and fine motor development while also allowing the children to express themselves freely through art.

It was lovely to see their excitement.

ST.PATRIC’S DAY CLOVER CRAFT ☘️🍀

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the children engaged in a creative recycling activity using empty yogurt lids. They used the lids to form a clover shape and few children stuck green paper onto each section using glue.

The children showed great interest in exploring shapes and colours while creating their clovers. They practised their fine motor skills by applying glue and placing the paper pieces, demonstrating focus and hand-eye coordination. This activity also helped them understand the importance of reusing materials in a fun and meaningful way.

The children were excited to see their clovers come together and proudly shared their creations, celebrating the spirit of the day.

HYGIENE & DEEP CLEANING 🦠🧹🧼🧽🧺🧻

While I maintain regular cleaning throughout the year, our annual deep clean ensures every corner of our day care is thoroughly sanitized. This year also, I’hv given the entire room a detailed clean—every toy, floor mat, and surface—to minimize germs and create a fresh, healthy environment. I’m excited to welcome the children back into a sparkling clean space for the new year!”

RECYCLING PAINT PALETTE 🎨🖌️🫟

Children created their own paint palettes using cardboard. They painted the cardboard with their favourite colours and glued empty milk bottle lids to hold the paint. Through this activity, they explored creativity, colour mixing, and the importance of recycling everyday materials. The children were excited to see their personalised palettes ready for their next painting adventure!
