Year 7 Soccer Academy Crowned Hobsons Bay Premiers! πβ½
The Saltwater College Year 7 Soccer Academy team delivered a remarkable performance at the Hobsons Bay Division Interschool Soccer Tournament on Monday 1 June, emerging as Division Premiers and securing their place in the upcoming Western Regional Finals.
Competing against several local secondary colleges, the boys showcased outstanding football throughout the day, winning every match convincingly and demonstrating their quality both individually and as a team. Their tournament culminated in a dominant 3β0 victory over Bayside in the grand final, a fitting reward for their hard work, skill, and determination.
Beyond their impressive results on the field, the team was commended for their exceptional sportsmanship, exemplary teamwork, and unwavering respect for opponents, officials, and spectators. Most importantly, the boys displayed humility and professionalism throughout the tournament, earning numerous compliments and positive feedback from other schools, parents, and players.
The team represented Saltwater College with distinction and embodied the values that make our school community so proud. We congratulate all players and coaches on this outstanding achievement and wish them every success as they now progress to represent Hobsons Bay at the Western Regional Finals.

Year 9 Soccer Team Shines with Sportsmanship at Intermediate Secondary Interschool Tournament
The Year 9 Soccer Team represented Saltwater College with pride at the Intermediate Secondary Interschool Soccer Tournament, competing with determination, skill, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day. Facing some strong opposition, the team played valiantly in every match and demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and respect both on and off the field.
After a tough tournament campaign, the boys narrowly missed out on the Finals, going down in the final match against a talented Year 10 team. While the result did not fall their way, their effort, commitment, and positive attitude were exemplary.
The entire Saltwater College community should be extremely proud of the way the team conducted themselves, consistently displaying the ethical standards and core values that define our college. Their sportsmanship, respect for opponents, and support for one another were a credit to both themselves and Saltwater College. Well done, boys, on an outstanding tournament and for representing the school with such distinction. β½ππ
