S1Blue has had a fabulous Term 3, with lots of exciting and hands-on activities taking place! 🌟

In English, we have been exploring ‘The Gentle Genius of Trees’, learning about how trees survive in different environments and developing our reading and writing skills. In Maths, we have been exploring multiplication through arrays, using counters and practical activities to solve problems and explain our thinking.
We have also been getting creative in Drama, reimagining familiar stories and expressing our ideas with body language and facial expressions. In Sport, we have been developing our fundamental movement skills in throwing and kicking. ⚽🎭

It has been wonderful to see the students' enthusiasm and engagement across all areas of learning. There have been lots of great ideas, teamwork, problem-solving and of course plenty of fun along the way!

Keep up the fantastic work S1Blue! 👏😊

⭐ S1 YELLOW ⭐

Stage 1 Yellow have had a fun filled term!

In History, we have been busy investigating ancient cultures of Egypt and China. We have enjoyed learning about cassowaries and koalas in our writing units. We have loved investigating sounds in science and printmaking in art.

We have lots more learning to come!

K/1 Blue have had a fantastic start to Term 3, with lots of exciting learning taking place!
In Science, we have been exploring different materials and using them to build our own marble mazes. In Maths, we have been using arrays, grouping and skip-counting to explore number patterns and solve problems.
It has been wonderful to see the students’ enthusiasm and engagement. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!

Keep up the great work, K/1 Blue!

📢STUDENT VOICE UPDATE 📢

⭐Two of our Student Voice Ambassadors are excited to announce a new mid‑term PBL reward! Students who demonstrate our PBL expectations on the playground will earn a Joey token and use it to vote for one of three whole‑school reward options. The winning choice will be celebrated in Week 7.

⭐Our PBL mascot, Kan‑Doo, has grown up and now has a fresh new look, created with student input. Keep an eye out for new and updated signage around the school.

⭐At this afternoon's SRC badge ceremony, class representatives will receive a badge designed by Stage 3 students, Violet M and Susie C. We are beyond excited and proud to celebrate our students’ ideas, creativity, and pride in our school.

On Wednesday, Mr Mich and the recorder ensemble visited Gorokan Public School for a rehearsal ahead of their Festival of Instrumental Music performance. Other Central Coast schools participating in the festival were also there, and our PCPS students represented their school beautifully, with their PBL school values on full display alongside some fantastic recorder playing.
A great day of jamming out on the recorder was had by all!
