💜 Bullying - No Way! Week 💜

As part of 'Bullying - No Way Week', our Year 5 students have created a powerful poster wall, connected by ribbons that symbolise how we are all linked together as a community.

Each student contributed messages of kindness, inclusion and respect, reminding us that "Small Acts Have Big Impacts." 🌟

This thoughtful display highlights the importance of looking out for one another and recognising that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day.

At St John the Baptist, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where everyone belongs. 💙

🌟 Our Student Leadership Clubs Initiative is in full swing! 🌟

This exciting 5-week program held at lunchtimes, is student-led and staff-supported, providing students with valuable opportunities to develop their leadership, collaboration and organisational skills.

Today, we visited the Craft and Origami Clubs and were impressed by the creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm on display. Students can also choose from a range of other clubs, including Acting, Art, Drawing, Gamers, Comic and Minecraft Clubs.

We love seeing our students leading, learning and sharing their passions with others! 💙✨

🎶 Combined Rehearsal at St Francis of Assisi School 🎶
Yesterday, our talented Festival Choir students took part in a combined rehearsal at St Francis of Assisi School in preparation for the 2026 Catholic Schools Music Festival which will be held on Wednesday 23 September! Representing St John's with pride, our choir demonstrated dedication, enthusiasm, talent and teamwork, beautifully reflecting our school values and spirit.

🥉 10 Year Old Boys – 3rd Place
🥇 11 Year Old Girls – 1st Place
🥈 11 Year Old Boys – 2nd Place
🥇 12 Year Old Boys – 1st Place

As Australia's first saint and a wonderful role model of faith, kindness and perseverance, St Mary MacKillop continues to inspire us to make a difference in the lives of others. Through their artwork, students explored her story and reflected on the values she lived each day.

📚✨ Something Exciting was certainly happening at St John the Baptist Catholic School today! As a lead-in to Book Week, we welcomed Education Perform for their engaging production of "Something Special" for our Reception to Year 4 students. Based on five of this year's shortlisted Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) books, the performance brought stories to life through drama, music and plenty of audience participation. What a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading and the power of stories! 📖🌟
