PSHS will award two Year 7 2027 Scholarships to applicants who have excelled within sporting, academic, cultural, performing arts and/or community arenas. Successful students will receive a scholarship that will pay their 2027 Year 7 school fees at PSHS (valued at $150).
Applications must include a written statement of student achievements (no longer than one page) along with supporting documentation. Examples of achievements could include, but are not limited to: *Regional or State sporting representation, *Eisteddfod successes, *Academic achievements, *Report Cards, *Competition successes, *Volunteering for community organisations, etc.
Please email applications to: [email protected] or alternatively, drop in to the PSHS office no later than 3pm on Monday, 14th September.

As part of Wellbeing Week, Wednesday 26 August is RU OK? Day at Pittsworth SHS. Students are invited to wear yellow or a mullet for Mental Health. Don't forget that there is also yellow food available from the tuckshop. There are heaps of activities happening during the day, including a colour run during Period 4. Get involved!

Our Year 9 Ag Science classes enjoyed caring for the six dairy calves that were on loan to us recently from the Garratt family in order to learn more about the dairy industry.
Students were responsible for the feeding and management of the calves while they were here at school and appreciated this responsibility. Many thanks to the Garratt family for affording our students this opportunity.

Well done to all our students who competed at the 13-19 years Darling Downs Track & Field trials last week. Congratulations to the following students who qualified for the Darling Downs team that will compete at the State Championships in Brisbane from 15-18 October: Isabelle Duncombe - 100m sprint and Shot Put. Bindi Geiger - Discus. Jake Kinsey - 100m, 200m and 110m hurdles.

Congratulations to Jake Kinsey who came away from the recent Darling Downs trials with three gold medals! Jake placed first in the 100m, 200m and 110m hurdles events and will now represent Darling Downs at the State Championships in October.
