Scratton Lodge Refurbishment Update
Over a 10-week period from 22 June to 28 August, the Fairbridge Village team completed a significant refurbishment project at Scratton, improving key accommodation and shared spaces.
The majority of works were carried out across the boys’ dorm rooms, boys’ bathroom, dining room, and common room, with additional minor works completed in the girls’ wing.
Refurbishment works included:
✅ Replaced old louvres with new louvres
✅ Installed new bedroom doors in all rooms
✅ Replaced ceiling in boys room 8
✅ Removed and replaced all eastern side gyprock walls, including selected studs and noggins in boys rooms
✅ Removed old shelving and installed new luggage benches
✅ Installed new wall-mounted bag hooks
✅ Installed new shower partitions
✅ Retiled boys shower cubicles
✅ Removed and replaced dividing wall in boys bathroom and completed new tiling
✅ Installed new mirror and bench in boys bathroom
✅ Installed new towel hooks in boys bathroom
✅ Installed new gutters where required
✅ Painted boys wing, common room, and dining room
✅ Refurbished clock tower door and clock hands
✅ Sanded and polished wooden floors in dining and common room
✅ Sanded and recoated dining tables
✅ Resurfaced bench seating in dining room
