Carcoola Primary School This is Carcoola Primary School's official page. We will share whats happening each week. Please ensure your comments only relate to the posted topic.

This user policy is in addition to any user policy or terms and conditions imposed by the Facebook host. Carcoola Primary School is happy to be alerted to issues via its page but does wish to remind the community that some things are best dealt with privately. However, we will not support interactions that incite or fuel overly negative sentiments. Other comments or general complaints should not be posted and may be removed at the discretion of the school. School is back and The Australian Federal Police have issued a warning for all parents.

Images with children in school uniform, their name or indicators of their location in the background can be used by offenders to build a profile and groom parents and children.

The AFP is continuing to regularly seize images of children in the collections of online child s*x offenders.

The AFP has said if you do post to lock down your privacy settings. Community or school social media pages featuring children are also being urged to consider the types of images being shared and who can view them.

Our students have been busy creating an entry for this year’s Perth Royal Show School Scarecrow Competition! 🌾🐝

The theme, β€œThe Diversity of Animals in Agriculture,” encouraged students to think about the many animals that help WA farmers produce the food and products we use every day.

We’re so proud of the thought, teamwork and effort they put into their entry! πŸ’›

If you’re heading to the Perth Royal Show, pop into the Poultry Pavilion and see if you can spot our scarecrow among the other schools’ creations.

Dear parents and carers,

From Term 4 there is a new rule about smart glasses. Smart glasses are banned from school and from events run by our school.
This rule is for everyone.

What are smart glasses?
Glasses that have hidden cameras, microphones, or computer screens inside them.

Why do we have this rule?
We want everyone to feel safe at school. Smart glasses can take photos and videos without anyone knowing.

What should you do?
Please do not bring smart glasses to school or school events.
Normal reading glasses, sunglasses and prescription glasses are allowed.

Thank you for helping us keep our school safe.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Kind regards,
Benjamin Parkin
Principal
