👏 Congratulations to our Year 7, Year 9 and Year 10 Team 1 teams, who were victorious in their debates! We are so proud of the students for the preparation, teamwork, confidence and commitment they demonstrated.

A huge well done to all of our debating students for representing our school so positively and giving their best. 🌟

Our Forensic Science students were part of an Artificial Intelligence incursion on Friday 11 September 2026.

This was a single platform containing learning modules, AI integrations and interactive
activities. This platform is purpose -built for school -aged students to learn about and engage with AI safely and provide teachers with complete observability and control. Students had fun with prompts and created educational games within five minutes. This incursion is linked to the WA curriculum and for educational purposes only.

Thank you Kristine West for supporting the school’s focus on ‘Academic Rigour’ and ‘Excellence’ with your Study Skills Workshop. Interesting to learn how the brain works, particularly in times of distraction and in times of focus. Thank you to the Piara Waters SHS parents and students for your attendance 🧠 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️

Our students put their knowledge of energy to the test through hands-on STEM challenges!
NERF Gun Challenge – investigating how projectile mass affects distance.
Bottle Rockets – testing how different amounts of water affect launch distance.
Rube Goldberg Challenge – designing creative chain reactions to transfer energy and drop a marble into a cup!
Along the way, students developed their problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking and engineering skills while learning through hands-on experimentation.
