Just published, this is a guiding principles document to inform the care of critically ill children from a child and family centred care ethos.
Of particular note is the importance of recognising the value of care which is responsive and appropriate for our First Nations People, and for those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. (This section starts on p22).

Three good reasons to turn your TV on this weekend:
Saturday July 31 – Channel 9 and 9HD will show ‘The Call’ documentary at 12pm, put together by the fabulous videographer who does all of our ads etc for DonateLife Week. It will run across all Metros, the regionals had a viewing in June.
Sunday August 1 – 60 minutes are running a piece on tissue recipient Stephanie Browitt (survivor of the White Island volcano disaster – skin recipient) and our CEO Lucinda which will be worth a watch.
