Support Staff Recognition Week
This week, we proudly celebrate School Support Staff Recognition Week and acknowledge the outstanding contribution of our support staff at Kurwongbah State School.

From our administration officers, teacher aides, schools officer, cleaners, technician, chaplain, youth support, speech language pathologist, psycholgist and so many more. Each person plays an important role in making Kurwongbah the welcoming, caring and supportive school that it is.

Our support staff bring patience, kindness, expertise and dedication to their roles every day. Whether they are supporting a student with their learning, helping a child through a challenging moment, preparing resources, maintaining our school, solving problems or welcoming families, their contribution makes a genuine difference.

To our wonderful support staff — thank you. Thank you for the care you show, the relationships you build and the many things you do each day, often behind the scenes, to help our students learn, grow and succeed.

👕 Extended Uniform Shop Hours This Wednesday! 👕

Our Braymazing Uniform Shop will be open with extended trading hours this Wednesday to coincide with our Enrolment Afternoon Interviews.

Whether you're planning ahead and purchasing uniforms for your child starting Year 7 in 2027, getting ready for the move into Senior School (from Year 9 to Year 10), or simply replacing items after an unexpected growth spurt, now is the perfect time to visit our wonderful Uniform Shop team!

📅 Wednesday: 1.00pm - 5.30pm
📅 Friday: 8.00am - 10.00am

What an absolute treat to have author Sue Whiting describe her creative process and entertain students with a reading of her favourite book 'Sidney of Sydney'. As she read her story, students added their very own penguin sound effects to add an extra dose enjoyment! Before the end of the talk students had the opportunity to ask amazing questions like ' Where do you get your inspiration?' and "Why did you become an author?"
