To start off Book Week, MMCP held a Book Week dress-up parade. Students and staff jumped into the Book Week spirit and filled the KSC with vibrancy and enthusiasm.

The main message from Mrs Perry, our English Curriculum Leader extraordinaire was this: to read more. Find a topic you love and just read.

Reading is good for your language and brain health in multiple ways and as the saying goes, finishing a good book is like saying goodbye to an old friend.

Future healthcare professionals in action!

Bonnie, Rose and Sienna spent the holidays exploring the world of healthcare through the Mater Health Adventure Program. From CPR and first aid to medical simulations and meeting healthcare professionals, they gained valuable hands-on experience and insight into exciting future career pathways.

We love seeing our students explore their passions through real-world learning opportunities!

We are incredibly proud of Safina, who performed at the Brisbane Catholic Education Excellence Awards at the iconic Brisbane City Hall last Friday night.

To earn this prestigious opportunity, Safina successfully auditioned and was selected as one of only two performances chosen from across BCE schools in Southeast Queensland to perform at the event. Singing in the magnificent surroundings of City Hall, she captivated the audience with her exceptional talent, professionalism and stage presence.

This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Safina’s hard work, dedication and musicianship. She represented our college with distinction, and we could not be prouder of her accomplishments.

Our students worked hard making sandwiches with the Eat Up crew for students who don't have the opportunity for a prepared lunch or breakfast.

The students worked as a team and made the sandwiches with joy. One student exclaimed "Miss, this is so fun!"

Overall, our students made 847 sandwiches. These sandwiches will be distributed to schools around Australia where there is the greatest need. To find out more about this wonderful initiative see the link in the comments.
