R U OK DAY - This Thursday 10th September 2026
This Thursday the 10th of September marks R U OK? Day. R U OK? Day aims to inspire and empower everyone to connect meaningfully with those around them and support anyone who may be struggling with life. This is an important part of our Bramfield Park culture.
As we are all aware, breakfast boosts brainpower. Some studies suggest that not having breakfast affects your mental performance, including your attention, ability to concentrate and memory. This can make some tasks feel harder than they normally would.
In light of this, an R U OK? Day breakfast will be served at Breakfast Club from 8.15am. Grab some brain power, check in on a friend and remember to ask R U OK?
We would love to see a sea of yellow on the day. If you have any yellow clothes or accessories, please wear them this Thursday the 10th.
If you want to support someone but aren’t sure where to start, follow these four steps:
1. ASK R U OK? – Pick the right time and place and ask them how they're going.
2. LISTEN – Listen with an open mind and without judgement.
3. ENCOURAGE ACTION - Encourage them to do something that might lighten the load.
4. CHECK IN – Remember to check in again soon. Your ongoing care and support can make a difference.
