Today, on Early Childhood Educators’ Day, we’re celebrating the incredible people at the heart of Acacia Hill Childcare. 🌱✨

Every cuddle, encouraging word, listening ear, learning experience and little moment of care makes a difference.

Our educators do so much more than teach. Role play is so much more than fun. It gives children opportunities to practise communication, build empathy, share ideas and make sense of the world around them — all while following their natural curiosity.

Photography gives children another way to express themselves. They can explore their environment, make choices, follow their curiosity and proudly show us the things that matter to them.

At Acacia Hill, our educators understand that some moments call for play and exploration… and others simply call for a cuddle. 🤗

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for a child is not do it for them.

Give them time.
Give them opportunity.
Give them space.

Space to work out where their foot goes next. To test their balance. To make a decision. To try again. And to experience that wonderful little moment of “I did it!” 💛

At Acacia Hill, we see children as capable learners. Through opportunities for safe, supported risk-taking, children can build confidence, independence, resilience and trust in their own abilities.

For our babies, rest is an important part of their day — giving their growing bodies and busy minds time to recharge between cuddles, play and discovery.

Who knew a sandpit could become the setting for a favourite fairytale? 🏠🐷

Our children brought The Three Little Pigs to life, using sand and natural materials to build their very own little houses and explore the story through hands-on play.

Experiences like this are where imagination and learning come together. As children build, create and retell familiar stories, they’re developing language, creativity, problem-solving and social skills — all while following their own ideas and having plenty of fun.
