Our Acacia Hill Childcare team provided a range of engaging life skills experiences for children aged birth to 5 years, encouraging curiosity, independence, problem-solving, fine motor development, and imaginative play. From sensory pom-pom activities and duck sorting games to caring for baby dolls and role-play experiences, every activity was designed to help children build the important life skills that support them for life. ✨

It was fantastic to see so many little learners exploring, creating, and developing confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Seeing children engaged, smiling, and discovering new skills is what we love most! 🥰

A big thank you to the City of Armadale for organising such a fantastic community event and for bringing local families together. We loved being part of it and look forward to the next one! 🙌

Dig, Scoop, Pour

Sometimes the simplest experiences create the richest learning.

Digging, scooping, and pouring in the sand helps children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving abilities—all while having fun!

Through sensory-rich play, children explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace, building confidence with every scoop and pour. 💛

♻️ Creativity Has No Limits at Acacia Hill!

Recently, the children took part in al virtual incursion with Fiona who visited ReMida, a creative reuse and repurpose centre in West Perth.

The children were invited to explore and choose a variety of materials for our centre, and the very next day Fiona arrived with a collection of exciting treasures!

What happened next was pure imagination at work. Plastic tubing became microphones, binoculars, telescopes, and so much more. The children transformed everyday objects into meaningful play experiences, proving that creativity doesn’t come from expensive toys—it comes from curiosity, time, space, and the freedom to imagine.

At Acacia Hill, we love providing open-ended resources that inspire children to think creatively, problem-solve, and see endless possibilities in the world around them. 💛

We were delighted to welcome Zach’s family into our centre to share the rich culture and traditions of the Philippines. Together, the children discovered national symbols, colourful festivals, traditional clothing, native trees, and even learned about traditional Filipino games. 🇵🇭🎉

These meaningful experiences help children develop an appreciation for diversity, belonging, and the unique stories that make up our community. Through family partnerships and shared learning, we create opportunities for children to explore the world around them and celebrate the many cultures represented within our Acacia Hill family. 🌎✨
