We have all had such a fun filled day in the Toddlers Room today. The children participated in a sensory activity which enabled them to practice their sensory, group work and social interaction skills.

Today in the Toddlers Room, the children explored the importance of healthy eating by making their own nutritious afternoon tea. They used fresh ingredients including cheese, spring onion, cabbage, carrot and chicken to create their meal together. This hands on cooking experience encouraged the children to learn about healthy food choices, develop independence and build confidence in preparing food.

The children had a wonderful time creating a beautiful nature collage here at Mint today. This hand on experience supported their teamwork, social interaction, creativity and language skills. Well done everyone!

Today our kindy children are taking an exciting step toward independence as they learn to sign themselves into the room 💛

Each child finds their colourful rock with their name on it and places it into the “tick basket” to show they’re signed in. Such a simple routine with so many meaningful benefits!

This activity supports name and colour recognition while also building self-identity, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging in our space 🌈✨

We love watching their pride as they take ownership of their learning journey!

The children had a wonderful time exploring the Easter sensory activity set up for the morning. As they arrived at the centre, they eagerly engaged with the experience, diving straight into the activity. Throughout the session, they enjoyed developing their sensory skills, practicing colour recognition and building social interactions while engaging in conversations about Easter. What a great way to learn about Easter!

The children had a wonderful time engaging in sustainable practices by helping the educators care for the garden. They especially enjoyed watering the plants, exploring different scents and communicating with one another about how the spring onion, lettuce and basil grow. This hands on experience supported their understanding of where food comes from as well as the importance of caring for plants by watering them regularly so they can grow strong and healthy.

Reducing, Reusing and Recycling!

The children had a wonderful time engaging in a creative art experience using recycled bubble wrap. During this activity, they explored their sensory skills, practiced fine motor skills and expressed their creativity while experimenting with colours and textures.

The educators also had meaningful conversations with the children about the importance of reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling to help care for our environment. Through this experience, the children learned how everyday materials can be reused in creative ways and how small actions can help keep our environment clean and healthy

🌈 Happy Holi!

This week at Mint, we celebrated the vibrant festival of Holi with lots of colour, creativity and joy!

The children took part in a variety of arts and crafts activities, with Splash Art quickly becoming their favourite. Through these fun experiences, the children had wonderful opportunities to practice and strengthen their colour recognition, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and social interactions.

It was a fantastic way for everyone to explore creativity while learning about and celebrating different cultural events. What a colourful and joyful week it has been! 🎨✨

Happy Chinese New Year! 🧧🐉

We have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating and learning about Chinese New Year here at Mint! The children embraced this special cultural celebration with great enthusiasm and curiosity. Throughout the week, they engaged in a variety of enriching activities, including arts, crafts, sensory experiences and exploring traditional customs. The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly the Dragon Dance which quickly became the children’s favourite activity.
They delighted in dancing and singing along to traditional Chinese music, proudly performing with the Chinese Dragon they had created themselves. It was a truly memorable experience and a wonderful way to celebrate together while learning about different cultures and traditions.
