Working with active people to realign bodies, reconnect minds, and empower movement.

28/05/2026

John has dealt with neck pain for years and had tried a lot of different things without finding lasting relief.

Over time, John, myself, and Dr Adam from have worked together with consistent treatment, release work, and regular adjustments to help keep him moving and functioning at his best.

And it’s paying off 👏

For the first time in years, his neck pain has significantly reduced and this past weekend he went on to WIN the Forest Rally in Nannup, the second round of the Australian Rally Championship 🏆

An incredible achievement and very well deserved.

Well done John, and thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey.

How do I warm up for squats as a sports remedial massage therapist who also experiences back pain?

Use your warm up as a chance to check in with your body, get some grease in the wheels, and make sure the parts that need to be working are ready!

“No pain no gain” has convinced people that every ache is weakness and every flare up should be pushed through or avoided completely.

Your body is allowed to communicate with you.

The goal is to understand what your body is saying, not ignore it or panic over it.

Fascia is fascia-nating (haha see? I got jokes).

But “fascia stores emotion” is one of those claims that gets repeated far more strongly than it is supported scientifically.

Stress and emotions absolutely affect the body. That part is definitely real. We know how and why and there is a tonne of research to back this up. But that’s very different from emotions being physically trapped inside connective tissue.

📢 Pain isn’t just influenced by tissues!

Hormones can affect:

Pain sensitivity
Inflammation
Recovery
Stress responses
Nervous system sensitivity

Which is why symptoms can sometimes fluctuate even without a new injury.

Remember... your body is a whole system, not just a collection of muscles and bones!

Pain flare ups can be super frustrating because they often feel like you’ve gone backwards overnight.

BUT

bodies are more complicated than that.

Pain isn’t just about tissues. It’s also influenced by stress, sleep, recovery, nervous system sensitivity, workload, and yes, hormones too.

And that's okay! It just means your body is human.

The goal during a flare up is to not panic, and look at it as feedback to better understand what your system might need more (or less) of right now.

Treating shoulder pain with Rob!

One of the funniest people I've had the pleasure of meeting (genuinely missed his calling as a stand up comedian... there's still time, Rob!) came to me with shoulder pain. Over the next several weeks, we treated not just the symptomatic areas, but worked on increasing his range of motion to facilitate more pain free function through his shoulder.

What helped Rob was not just his commitment to release work, but his diligence to staying active in the pool and in the gym.

Total superstar 👌💪

If your body feels like it’s constantly finding new and exciting ways to be tight, this is probably for you 👀

Most people I see aren’t dealing with just one issue.
It’s usually a mix of:
- something that’s weak
- something that’s overworking
- and a lifestyle that’s not exactly helping the situation

So you get stuck in the cycle: feel sore, get treatment, feel better, go back to normal life, repeat.

What I’m doing with my packaged program ("Fix Your Sh*t") is a bit different.

Instead of just treating what hurts, I’m working with a small group of people to actually fix the pattern.
That looks like:
- regular remedial massage (at a lower rate)
- a simple, personalised plan (not overwhelming)
- support around things like training, recovery, and daily habits
- and ongoing adjustments so you keep progressing

Basically, we stop guessing and start being a bit more strategic about it from the ground UP.

I’m only taking on 4 people to start with this.

Before anything, we’ll have a quick chat to make sure it’s the right fit both ways.

If you’re over the cycle and want a proper plan, send me a message with “UNSTUCK” and I’ll send you the details.

“Why is that tight?” is probably the question I get asked the most.

And it’s rarely just one simple answer. Sometimes its strength. Sometimes it’s workload. Sometimes it’s your daily habits quietly doing their thing in the background. And sometimes you’re just a bit cooked 😅

The important part is figuring out which one applies to you so you’re not just throwing random stretches at the problem and hoping for the best.

Remember, your body is incredible at figuring out ways to get the job done. This isn't a bad thing! Sometimes we just need to give it better working conditions.
