What a fantastic way to spend my Saturday! 🙌

A huge thank you to the crew at LMNT Fitness Morley for having me in today to run my Self Release and Recovery Workshop!

The group was absolutely fantastic! So engaged, interested and willing to get stuck into the content. It was amazing to see everyone apply what we'd covered during the demos and put it straight into practice to get some fantastic release work done. 💪

A special thank you to Chris for being so welcoming and for creating such a supportive environment for his members. It's clear that he is genuinely passionate about the wellbeing of the LMNT community, and it was fantastic to be part of that today.

Thank you to everyone who came along, asked great questions, got hands on and gave the techniques a go! I hope you all left with some new tools and a little more confidence to take care of your bodies. 💆‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

I'm incredibly excited to welcome Zain to the KeepBNU sponsored athlete family! 🙌

Zain is a competitive sprint cyclist, a dedicated dad, and someone who is making a genuine difference well beyond sport.

When he's not training or competing, he works alongside men experiencing homelessness, providing mentorship, guidance, and practical support to help them rebuild their lives. The impact he has on his community is something I admire just as much as his dedication on the bike.

And he also makes a mean sourdough. 🍞 (I feel like that's an important qualification that couldn't be left out.)

I'm grateful to be a small part of his journey, helping keep his body moving well so he can continue chasing big goals, both on and off the bike.

Taking the dry needles for their first spin tonight with everyone's favourite Lorraine Kelly

Every shoulder problem and knee pain is different, which is why your treatment is tailored to you. Depending on what your body needs, your session might include dry needling, hands on remedial massage, myofascial release, stretching, cupping, movement advice, and usually a combination of techniques.

Dry needling can be incredibly effective for reducing muscle tension, improving movement, and helping settle pain, but it's always used as part of a bigger treatment plan, not as a standalone solution.

The right treatment is about using the right techniques for you. 💙

Pain is influenced by more than just tissues.

After a big weekend, factors like sleep, recovery, hydration, stress, and nervous system sensitivity can all change at the same time.

So if your pain feels louder than usual, it doesn't automatically mean you've caused more damage.

Sometimes your body is simply asking for a little more recovery than it got over the weekend.

One of my most demanding clients.

Never books an appointment.
Demands the table at a very specific height.
Refuses to lie still.
Hasn't paid a single invoice in 5 years.

But somehow, my 5 year old son keeps showing up and demanding a massage. 😂

In all seriousness, remedial massage isn't just for adults. Active young people can benefit too, especially when they're dealing with growing pains, sports related aches and pains, muscle tightness, shin splints, Osgood-Schlatter, Sever's, postural discomfort, or simply the demands of training and sport.

Treatment for kids looks a little different. It's usually gentler, shorter, and often involves plenty of chatting, wriggling, and laughing.

And if you're wondering, I asked my son how he'd like to settle his account. His first and final offer seems to be a half eaten muesli bar 🤣
