Good Day 英語 & 日本語 enthusiasts!
Ever since our first event back in September 2018, WAっしょい! has been more than just a language exchange. Sure, the main focus is that, but it’s been about making new friendships, connecting with similar minded people and of course - cultural exchange! 🇯🇵
WAっしょい! also started because back then, there was a need for a (safe!) place for 英語 & 日本語 language exchange - and we tried our best to fulfill that need.
Fast forward 107 events later - today, we have multiple language exchanges in Perth, WA - being run by amazing hosts that not just have love and passion for 日本語 - but are also in keeping the best interests and safety of the attendees front and center.
We are so grateful to everyone who has joined, shared stories, and made this community such a welcoming place.
This may come as a bit of a surprise - and trust us, the decision was a difficult one to make. But after 7 wonderful, unforgettable years, we believe that now is the right time to close the curtains of WAっしょい!🥲
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for being part of WAっしょい! We hope the memories, friendships, and skills you’ve gained will stay with you long after our final language exchange.
Our remaining language exchange sessions will be on this coming Thursday ( 4th Sept ), followed by the final event on Thursday, 18th September 2025.
