Of course #aikido works. Well, Aiki waza works but the techniques of Aikido have never been the problem. It’s the training methods and approach that, in general, let Aikido down. 🥋 An interesting observation regarding this video. I get wrist locks on people all the time during #randori as I have work hard to make them extremely difficult to escape and as such often get standing submissions. My students however have worked out for themselves that they can flip out of the lock just as they would when being caught on the ground.
