Hosted by Peg from Lessen with Peg - Rethink waste on Saturday 23 May, from 11.30am - 12.30pm at the Scarborough Community Hub, this practical workshop will help you confidently turn your household organic waste into nutrient‑rich compost.

Peg will share simple, effective techniques you can use at home, along with plenty of tips and tricks to help you get started or take your composting skills to the next level.

We’ve got tree‑riffic news! The City’s popular annual program - Free Trees and Plants returns next month! 🌱

Registrations for Free Trees and Plants opens at 10.00am on Wednesday 25 March. Residents can again request up to four free trees and ten native plants.

This year, the City will have over 35,000 plants and trees available to help green our neighbourhood.

The program fills quickly so we encourage residents to help spread the word and pre-plan their selections by checking the species guide available online.

We're also inviting community members to volunteer at our pop‑up nursery at the Henderson Environmental Centre during the Free Trees and Plants collection days. If you'd like to get involved, please complete the Expression of Interest form on our website.
