🌿✨ Exciting Centre Upgrades at Goodstart Queens Park! ✨🌿

We are so excited to share some of the wonderful upgrades happening here at Goodstart Queens Park — and we couldn’t wait to show you! 💚

Our Kindy outdoor yard is now fully operational, and it looks absolutely amazing!
The children are already loving exploring their refreshed space, which now includes:

🚲 Brand new bike tracks
🏖️ A beautiful new sandpit surrounded by plants, creating a calm and natural play space
🏡 A charming new cubby house for imaginative play
🛝 Soft fall flooring integrated around climbing equipment to support safe and active play

And that’s not all…

✨ Inside the centre, we have updated the vinyl flooring in our Toddlers, Kindy 1, and Kindy 2 rooms to a lovely neutral tone. This has truly lifted the rooms — creating a brighter, calmer, and more inviting environment for our children to learn and grow.

We are so proud of how our spaces are evolving to support children’s development, wellbeing, and sense of belonging 🌱

💬 We would love to hear from you!
Families and community members following our page — what do you think of the upgrades? How do you feel seeing the centre and yard now? Your feedback means so much to us 🤍

And stay tuned… 👀
More exciting upgrades are still underway!

🌟 Celebrating Our Incredible Team at Goodstart Queens Park 🌟

Last Monday, we held our very first face-to-face staff meeting for the year — and what a special moment it was! After being away for some time, it truly meant so much to reconnect with the team in person, share reflections, and continue building the strong culture we are so proud of.

But the highlight of the evening was taking the time to celebrate our amazing Educators and Teachers 💐

At Goodstart Queens Park, we believe that our people are our greatest strength. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to creating safe, nurturing, and inspiring environments for children do not go unnoticed.

✨ We proudly recognised:

Our Employee of the Month award winners-Preeti and Pooja for February and March 2026 respectively

A special 10 Years of Service milestone 👏-Purnita

A stand out achievement and Nationally recognised for Sustainability- Nutan

Praised for her hardwork, stepping into Acting Director and holding the fort while I was away- Shaiffali

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the work we do, but the culture we build together. A culture of appreciation, teamwork, and continuous growth.

Thank you to my beautiful team for everything you do — for our children, our families, and each other. I am so proud to lead such a dedicated and inspiring group. 💫

We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.

Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.

We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.

We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨

✨The children had a wonderful time engaging in a hands-on sensory activity, creating cornflour goop and slime 🧪✨. They worked together to mix cornflour, water, and green food colouring to make the goop, exploring its unique texture by squeezing it through their hands and then rinsing off in a bucket of water 💧👐.

We also made slime using PVA glue, water, food colouring, dishwashing liquid, and cornflour. The children took turns using an electric whisk to combine the ingredients, building confidence and teamwork skills ⚡🥣.

Throughout the experience, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the different textures of both the goop and slime 🎨😊. These messy play activities provided a fantastic opportunity to engage their sense of touch while introducing early science concepts in a fun and meaningful way.

Additionally, mixing and kneading the materials supported the development of their fine motor skills, making this a rich, hands-on learning experience that engaged multiple senses 🌈👏.

✨Our Kindy 2 children went for an exciting excursion to Cannington Library 📚😊

The children walked beautifully in their allocated groups and patiently waited to safely cross Railway Parade 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚦

At the library, they had a wonderful time exploring the space, looking through books, and enjoying reading independently 📖✨

On the way back, the children showed great road safety awareness by waiting for the green “walk” signal before crossing Wharf Street and Sevenoaks Street 🚦👏 They were also very excited to press the pedestrian crossing buttons!

They stopped at the train park for some fun playtime 🚂🌳 The children enjoyed “driving” the train, using the water fountain 💧, and sliding down the slide 🛝

This walking excursion gave the children a fantastic opportunity to explore their local community beyond the classroom 🌏 It supported their learning about road safety, independence, and community spaces. The children also engaged in borrowing books from the library 📚, learned about recycling and sustainability ♻️, used public facilities responsibly, and enjoyed active outdoor play 🤸‍♀️

Overall, it was a fun, safe, and enriching learning experience for everyone 💛

🎉 Exciting News! 🌟

We wanted to share a little update about the construction happening around our centre over the past few weeks 😊

The safety of our children and team is always our top priority 💛 All areas have been carefully risk assessed, and the work zones are safely secured with barriers and clear signage.

We’re working closely with our builders to keep disruptions to a minimum so our daily routines can continue as smoothly as possible. Our educators are also supporting the children through these changes, helping them feel safe, reassured, and even curious about what’s happening around them 👀✨

The new space is looking fantastic and will include:
🪣 A brand-new sandpit
🌿 Beautiful surrounding plant beds
🏡 A cubby house that can be used as a calm and quiet space
🌱 New lawn for the children to run, play and explore

📸 We’re sharing some photos of the improvements completed so far and will continue to share more updates and pictures over the coming days!

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we make these exciting improvements. We can’t wait to share the new and improved spaces with you and your children—they’re going to be wonderful places to learn, explore, and play! 🧸🌈
