What a night it was! 🙌
This August, Training Alliance Group teamed up with Paull & Warner Resources and Headspace Kalgoorlie to co-host KBCCI's Business After Hours in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
It was awesome connecting with the local business community and sharing more about our Self-Employment Assistance (SEA) program, plus the rest of our crew from Workforce Australia, Transition to Work, Parent Pathways, IEA, EST and our RTO team, all there to support the night.
Thank you to KBCCI and everyone who came along to network, swap stories and enjoy the night together. 🤝

At Training Alliance Group, our work is about more than training and employment. It’s about being an active part of the communities we serve, helping people build confidence, achieve their goals, and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Every success story, whether it’s a first job, an apprenticeship, or a return to work, starts with someone believing in their potential. That belief grows strongest when it’s backed by genuine community connection.

Stronger together. That's the thinking behind WoW (Ways of Working) Together, and our second meeting at TAG Australind proved it again today.

Despite the wild weather, service providers from across Bunbury, Collie, Harvey and Australind came together at our Treendale office with one shared goal: making sure no one in our community falls through the gaps.

A highlight was Stu Schonell, CEO of Advocacy WA, presenting on the programs and services AWA delivers. Every provider in the room walked away with practical knowledge to better support the people they work with.

It was a privilege for TAG to take part in the 2026 Perth Wildcats All Abilities Carnival, supporting three incredible days of basketball, connection, inclusion and fun.
Bringing together primary and secondary school students from across Perth, the carnival created opportunities for participants to build confidence, form friendships and enjoy the game in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our team had an amazing time cheering from the sidelines and chatting with students, teachers and the parents and carers behind them, whose encouragement makes days like these possible. We know that raising a child with disability comes with its own journey, and we love being part of a community that walks alongside families. We even got to meet the Wildcats' beloved mascot, Wilbur!
We are proud to support initiatives that bring communities together and create positive, lasting experiences. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a memorable celebration of participation and inclusion. And to the parents and carers we met along the way: we see you, and we're always here if you ever need a hand.

Game on! 🏀
Last month, we proudly hosted our very first Parent Pathways Basketball Clinics in partnership with the Perth Wildcats at Morley Recreation Centre, bringing local families together for a morning filled with basketball, fun, connection and community spirit.

The response was incredible, with all basketball clinic places filled and additional families joining the waitlist. This strong level of interest highlights the importance of providing free, accessible opportunities for children and families to connect, learn and stay active. It was fantastic to see so many children developing new skills, growing their confidence, making new friends and, most importantly, having fun along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. We loved seeing so many families come together for a memorable morning on and off the court.

Yesterday, our team had the privilege of being part of a local NAIDOC Week event in Mirrabooka, and what a moment it was.

Being surrounded by community, culture and celebration is something you carry with you. We listened to stories, learned new perspectives, and felt both the strength and the joy that comes from resilience, pride and powerful voices.

Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, listening to their stories, and standing alongside them as allies is something we take seriously, not just this week, but every week, through our various programs, quality education, and pathways towards meaningful employment.

We're grateful to have been welcomed into yesterday's celebration, and we'll keep showing up, keep learning, and keep supporting the incredible work being done by community, for community.

Fifty years.
Fifty years of NAIDOC Week carrying the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Steady, unapologetic and proud.

This year's theme, 50 Years of Deadly, is a tribute. To the Elders who stood firm. To the artists who turned resistance into expression. To every community that kept showing up, year after year, and never let the fire go out. It's a chance to look back at how far we've come, and to look forward too. To the young ones growing up proud, the return of language, the return to Country, and the next 50 years of a movement that has always belonged to mob.

As an organisation, we're proud to walk alongside NAIDOC Week, listening, making space, and supporting the communities whose culture, strength and leadership are being honoured. We're encouraging our team to get involved this week, whether that's attending a local event, learning something new, or simply taking a moment to reflect.

Something special happened in Morley last week🏀
We brought together families and local community members for our first ever Parent Pathways event — in partnership with the Perth Wildcats, and it was everything we hoped it would be.

While the little ones (aged 3–5) took on a Wildcubs training session with Perth Wildcats players Ben Henshall and Shawn Redhage, their parents sat down with our team to talk honestly about what comes next — training, employment, and the pathways available to them.

Real conversations. Real people. A shared belief that when parents thrive, families thrive.

We were also lucky to have Tony Galati in the room, sharing his story and reminding everyone that showing up and having a go is where it all begins. To every family who came along on Tuesday, thank you. You made the morning what it was.
