💙 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM NEXT GENERATION! 💙

Today we celebrate all the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and special men in our children’s lives who make such a difference every day.

Our little ones have been busy putting lots of love, thought and creativity into their special Father’s Day gifts over the past few weeks. There’s nothing quite like a handmade gift created by little hands and given with lots of love!

And because we love spoiling our families too, on Friday afternoon we treated all of our dads and families who were on pick-up duty to a little Father’s Day Hot Dog Grab & Go! 🌭🎉 A simple way for us to say thank you for being part of our Next Generation community.

We hope all the amazing dads and father figures in our Next Generation family have a very Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Thank you for all the love, laughter, adventures, cuddles and memories you create with your little ones. You are very special!

🌟 EDUCATORS WEEK 2026 🌟

This year, we decided that one day just wasn’t enough! 💕 So instead of celebrating Educators Day, we turned it into a whole Educators Week at Next Generation!

Our educators give so much of themselves every single day - nurturing, teaching, supporting, encouraging and creating beautiful experiences for our children. We wanted to take a whole week to celebrate them and show just how much they are appreciated. 🥰

✨ MONDAY – Educator Pampering ✨
We kicked off the week with a little self-care! Facemasks, nail treatments and some much-needed time to relax and unwind.

🎨 TUESDAY – Paint & Sip 🎨
Our team got creative with paint by number mini canvases while enjoying some delicious flavoured sparkling water. A chance to switch off, have a laugh and let the creativity flow! 🖌️🥂

🍗 WEDNESDAY – Educator Lunch 🍗
After being a crowd favourite last year, we had to bring back KFC to treat our amazing team! We were also incredibly grateful to some of our beautiful families who went above and beyond to spoil our educators with sandwich platters, savoury goodies, baked sweet treats and chocolates.

🧘‍♀️ THURSDAY – Chinese Tea Meditation 🫖
We slowed things down with a beautiful Chinese Tea Meditation session with Suzanne. It was such a calming and special experience and judging by the conversations afterwards, everyone absolutely loved it!

🎟️ FRIDAY – Set for Life! 💰
We finished the week with a little bit of fun and maybe a little bit of dreaming! Each educator received a Set for Life ticket, a bag of gold chocolate coins and some sweet treats to end the week on a high.

A HUGE thank you to our incredible educators for everything you do. Your dedication, patience, passion and love for the children does not go unnoticed. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful team. ❤️

And to our beautiful families who helped spoil our educators throughout the week - thank you! Your generosity and thoughtfulness meant so much to our team.

🚨🏉 FOOTY FASHION FELONY 🏉🚨

We had a serious case of questionable footy fashion at Next Generation today… 😂

Following Hawthorn’s win over our beloved Fremantle Dockers, one of our educators had the absolute AUDACITY to walk into work wearing a HAWTHORN JUMPER!

As a workplace full of Freo supporters, we simply could not let this offence go unpunished!

After a completely fair, completely unbiased investigation… she has been issued with a $10 FOOTY FINE!

She has accepted her punishment with grace… although we suspect there may have been a little too much enjoyment in wearing that jumper today!

The verdict: GUILTY.

The jumper has been documented, the fine has been issued, and justice has officially been served 😂

🚶‍♀️ Big Walk for Little Kids 2026 🚶‍♂️

Our Pre-Kindy room has set themselves a very special goal this September!

The children and educators have created the Next Generation School of Early Learning Team and are aiming to raise $360 while walking a combined 64km throughout the month of September as part of Camp Quality's Big Walk for Little Kids.

Why 64km? Because 64 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer every month, and this challenge helps raise funds to support children and families facing cancer through Camp Quality's programs and services.

To help us achieve our goal, we have measured our bike track, which is 25 metres per lap, and carpark length, which is 50 metres. Each day our Pre-Kindy children and educators will walk laps together to contribute towards our total distance.

We would love for our families, educators and community members to join our team, help us clock up the kilometres and support this wonderful cause. Every lap, every kilometre and every donation helps make a difference for children and families facing cancer. 💛

A huge thank you to Casey from Second Nature Allied Health for joining us last Thursday evening to host a wonderful Parent Information Session for our families and community members.

It was such an informative and valuable evening, providing our families with helpful insights, practical information and opportunities to learn more about supporting children’s development and wellbeing.

We truly appreciate Casey taking the time to share her knowledge with our community and support the families within our centre.

We look forward to continuing to build our partnership with Second Nature Allied Health and having Casey work alongside our educators and families in the future! 🌿🤝

📚✨ What a Fabulous Week of Book Week Fun! ✨📚

What a wonderful week we've had celebrating Book Week at Next Generation!

Our centre has been filled with colourful characters, big imaginations and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the magic of books and storytelling. 📖✨

Our educators and children embraced the fun with an amazing array of book-inspired dress-ups, bringing some of our favourite characters to life and turning our centre into a little world of stories!

From superheroes and princesses to beloved storybook characters, every costume brought its own special bit of magic. 🦸‍♀️👑🐻

Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading, storytelling and imagination, while supporting children's language, communication, creativity and connection with stories.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families and educators for getting involved and making the week so much fun! We loved seeing everyone's creativity and enthusiasm.

Because every great adventure can begin with the turn of a page... 📚✨
