Meet the Team Monday

✨ Anishta (Ani) ✨

Meet Ani! Ani is Toddler's Lead Educator but also the Educational Leader for the service. Ani has been with Affinity for 18 months and created incredible relationships with all of the children and families across the whole service.
As the Educational Leader, Ani oversees the implementation of the Lifelong Learning Program across all ages and helps guide and support Educators when needed.

Ani is always striving to provide the best possible care and create the most engaging environments whilst working endlessly behind the scenes with Rachael to come up with new ideas and implement quality changes across the service

Ani is an incredible mentor, Educator, colleague and friend and lightens up any room she enters with her smile!

Harmony Day 🧡

Today we recognise Harmony Day, a day that celebrates Australia's cultural diversity and the importance of belonging for everyone.

At Milestones Helena Valley, we talk about harmony in simple, meaningful ways. It's about:

🔸Including others
🔸Listening to different ideas
🔸Respecting family traditions
🔸Understanding that every family's story is unique

Across the rooms this week, children explored this through art experiences, music, shared conversations and movement.

Our centre community reflects many backgrounds, languages and traditions, and that diversity is something we value.

Everyone belongs here. 🦋

As the weather cools down, little bodies need warm, nourishing food to keep them going 🍛

Our new autumn menu is filled with comforting, wholesome meals designed to support your child’s wellbeing and growing appetite.

And yes... we’re often told children try foods here they won’t touch at home 👀

We’ve even shared a few simple tips to help make mealtimes easier for you at home too.

Meet the Team Monday

🤩Alishia🤩
Alishia has been with Milestones Helena Valley since August 2022. She brings a wide range of creativity, passion and so much joy to the children and families of the service!
If we have a themed day, you can always count on Alishia to be dressed top to tail in a costume with the works! Alishia brings so much joy to the whole service.

She is also an incredible face painter!

You can find Alishia in our Pre Toddler room, so come and say hi!

We’re currently reviewing our philosophy here at Milestones Helena Valley and creating space for children’s voices to be deeply embedded into the service

This is a work in progress for us but the focus from all educators has been admirable and the results are really starting to reflect across all rooms

Over the last couple of weeks the children have been taking wonderful care of the veggie patch.
They even got a chance to see a tiny gecko up close before letting it back into the garden
So cool!

How delicious does today’s lunch look?!

Our cook, Christina, always goes above and beyond, cooking incredible, nutritious meals for the children and staff!

Today’s lunch in Enchilada Bake and if we have the recipe for families to try it at home!

Environments have been a main focus for us here at Milestones Helena Valley this year.

With Educator room changes and a whole bunch of new resources we dedicated time on a Saturday to have our very own “busy bee” with all of the educators coming in to set up their new spaces with a vision in mind
