A lovely video from Tuan Minh, our remote student in Vietnam. Minh started Year 9 in Semester 2 last year and really connected with the teachers and the Australian curriculum. We look forward to welcoming him on campus soon!

On Friday evening, the adorable Year 2s had a sleepover at at St James' Anglican School. The sleepover gave the students a chance to develop their independence and resilience, staying away from home for the night. It was an excellent fun-filled evening complete with a sausage sizzle, dancing, games, ice cream, popcorn and a movie. Safe to say, there was 60 smiling but very sleepy Year 2s returning home on Saturday morning.

ONE BIG VOICE 2021
Last Friday, 20 August, the Peter Carnley Children’s Choir travelled by train to Perth Arena to perform in the One Big Voice Concert. The One Big Voice is a choral festival aimed at promoting a love of singing, friendship, and acceptance as well as developing relationships with other children who share a love of music. Through weekly rehearsals, the students had prepared 11 songs with choreography. On the day, they joined with approximately 4000 students from over 40 Perth primary schools, to perform as a large choir singing popular songs including 'Unstoppable' by Sia, 'I Was Born' by Hanson and 'From Now On' from the Greatest Showman. Congratulations to all the students for the enormous amount of work they put into preparing for the concert, and for their outstanding behaviour on the day. The choir will perform a selection of these songs at the upcoming Performing Arts Showcase during Arts Week in Week 10.

IT's A WRAP
The School musical, Matilda, is officially over, and what a fantastic production it was! Seven fabulous performances, all of which were sold out!
Over 100 students were involved, with the help of a dedicated Performing Arts team led by Mrs Jenny Crutchett.
The production showcased the amazing talent that Frederick Irwin has, from the dancers and singers, through to the musicians, lighting, and sound, and the backstage crew.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in this wonderful show.
