Last week, we celebrated the launch of Studio X – Master of Design Exhibition, showcasing the latest work from our talented Master of Design students.
The exhibition explores themes of human experience, social interaction, identity, culture, and the evolving role of design in contemporary society. Through a diverse range of mediums including installation, textiles, product design, and interdisciplinary practice, students present innovative and thought-provoking responses to real-world challenges.
The works on display invite connection, conversation, and reflection, drawing on personal stories, cultural heritage, and shared experiences. Through experimentation, creativity, and critical thinking, the exhibition demonstrates how design can foster meaningful engagement while responding to the need for adaptability, longevity, and positive social impact.
Congratulations to all exhibiting students on an exceptional showcase of creativity, research, and design excellence.

Last Wednesday, our Curtin Geography discipline hosted their inaugural Alumni Networking Evening in our very own BLD 418. Drawing together Curtin Geography graduates, staff, and current students, the evening provided opportunities to reconnect and build our geography community and discipline.
With staff speakers and three geography graduate presenters shaping the formal part of the evening, the discussions highlighted the diversity of pathways, skills, and opportunities that can emerge from studying geography, alongside the breadth of transferable skills a geographical perspective can offer. It was also wonderful to reflect on the evolution and iterations of Geography at Curtin over the past five decades.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped to organise the event, and a special thank you to Sophie, Mitchell, Claire, and Shaphan for presenting during the evening and making the event such a success!
