We recently hosted a tertiary financial literacy session facilitated by the 🧡

The First Nations Foundation is a leading Indigenous-led organisation dedicated to improving the financial wellbeing of First Nations peoples through education and practical, culturally informed support.

The session provided students with valuable, real-world financial skills to support their transition into tertiary study and independent living. Topics covered included understanding superannuation, managing tax responsibilities, and building strong budgeting habits to support long-term financial wellbeing.

We extend our sincere thanks to the First Nations Foundation for facilitating such an engaging and meaningful session, and for the important work they continue to do in strengthening financial capability within community.

Some of our Year 11 and Year 12 students were invited to participate in the ROC Ed Career Experience, delivered in partnership with Hancock Iron Ore, providing insight into careers in mining, technology, and remote operations.

The session provided valuable insight into one of Australia’s most innovative industries, highlighting a range of career pathways across mining and emerging technologies.

Students took part in an interactive presentation covering mining operations, autonomous systems, and remote technologies, along with information on traineeships, early career programs, and graduate opportunities. The FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) lifestyle was also explored, giving students a realistic view of working in the industry.

A huge thank you to Hancock Iron Ore and Hanrine Futures for making this experience possible.

Madalah CEO Casey Jo Drummond and Senior Partnerships and Impact Manager Beth Banasik spent the final week of April in Melbourne, meeting with key partners and stakeholders.

The trip was focused on strengthening existing relationships and exploring new opportunities to expand Madalah’s work and impact.

We extend a sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us and engage in valuable conversations throughout the week.

It marks an important step in growing our presence and future collaborations in the region.

Our first ‘Meet Madalah’ event in Melbourne hosted by Equitable Philanthropy.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and organisations with the goal of sharing the mission and story of Madalah with organisations and funders based in Melbourne.

It was great to share the Madalah program with attendees and showcase the real-life impact of the program with tertiary scholar Dallmyn, who is currently studying at the University of Melbourne. Having Dallmyn there brought the purpose and impact of Madalah to life, offering a firsthand perspective on the opportunities and outcomes made possible through education and support.

Thank you to Equitable Philanthropy for organising and hosting this evening.

We had the pleasure of attending the Revo Foundation WA Launch Event at Cleaver House in West Perth, an inspiring evening marking the beginning of something truly impactful.

Madalah CEO Casey Jo Drummond was invited to speak on the panel, where she shared powerful insights on the importance of creating genuine pathways and opportunities for First Nations young people. It was great to see Madalah represented in this important conversation, and we thank the Revo Fitness team for the invitation.

A huge congratulations to Andrew Holder and the entire Revo Fitness team for bringing this vision to life. Their commitment to giving back is redefining how businesses can show up for their communities, creating a model where everyday participation leads to meaningful, lasting impact.

A reminder of what’s possible when organisations lead with purpose.
