At Jump, curiosity comes to life through engaging science explorations every day! šŸ”¬āœØ

Through fun, hands-on experiences, children are encouraged to question, investigate, and discover the world around them. Whether it’s mixing, pouring, observing changes, or exploring different textures and materials, these moments spark excitement and a genuine love of learning.

Our educators intentionally utilise key teaching moments—asking open-ended questions, introducing new vocabulary, and guiding deeper thinking as children explore. This helps extend understanding while keeping experiences meaningful and play-based.

Science explorations like these promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, early STEM concepts, and language development. They also build confidence and independence as children test ideas, make predictions, and celebrate their discoveries.

At Jump, we believe learning is most impactful when it’s hands-on, engaging, and driven by curiosity šŸ’”

This morning in our babies room, we dove into some hands-on sensory exploration with oobleck… and what a hit it was! šŸ’›

The children were fully engaged as they squished, scooped, and explored the unique texture, fascinated by how it could feel both solid and runny at the same time. We heard lots of emerging language throughout the experience, with little voices describing what they could see and feel using words like ā€œstuckā€, ā€œgoopā€, and more!

Activities like these promote sensory development, encourage curiosity, and support early language skills as children begin to describe their experiences. Oobleck play also strengthens fine motor skills and provides opportunities for children to explore cause and effect in a fun, hands-on way.

At Jump, we love creating playful learning experiences that spark wonder, exploration, and lots of messy fun! ✨

Today we celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day at Jump šŸŒæā˜€ļø

In JJ1, our babies marked the occasion with a beautiful outdoor picnic for morning tea, enjoying fresh air, nature, and time together in a relaxed environment. It was such a special way for our littlest learners to connect with the outdoors.

Across all our rooms, we continue to embrace outdoor learning every day—offering a variety of experiences in different environments to support children’s autonomy, curiosity, and independence. Whether it’s exploring, creating, or simply enjoying nature, the outdoors plays a big role in our learning.

At Jump, our outdoor spaces are something we truly value, so a day like today is especially meaningful to us šŸ’š

Our new Kindy House project area has been such a hit! āœØšŸ“š

As part of our new Kindy curriculum, we have been gently introducing a soft transition into a more school-like environment to help prepare the children for their journey to big school, while still embracing the importance of play-based learning. Through thoughtfully transforming our spaces into engaging project areas and creating more structure within daily routines, the children have embraced these exciting changes so positively.

One of their favourite parts of the day has been signing themselves in each morning, encouraging a growing sense of independence, responsibility, confidence, and belonging as they start their day at Kindy House. šŸ’›

It has been so wonderful watching the children thrive within these new routines and learning spaces, and we look forward to continuing to support and nurture their learning journey every step of the way. 🌱

Our Pre-Kindy children have been loving this simple, hands-on letter recognition experience! šŸ’§āœØ

By combining water play with learning, children get to explore letters in a fun, sensory way that keeps them engaged while building important early literacy skills. Experiences like this are wonderful for supporting school readiness through play.

Happy National Sibling Day from all of us at Jump šŸ’›

Here at Jump, we’re all about connection—and through our free flow spaces and OSHC services, we’re proud to create opportunities for siblings to stay together throughout the day.

There’s something so special about watching the siblings in our community support one another, share moments of play and laughter, and build memories side by side. It’s a beautiful reminder that no matter where they are, there’s always that little piece of home with them here at Jump.

Today we celebrate those bonds that make our community feel even more like family ✨

As the crisp air of autumn settles in, we’re embracing all that the season brings here at Jump šŸ‚šŸŒ§ļø

We thrive in our natural environment, and while a little rain can sometimes dampen the sunshine, it certainly doesn’t stop the fun! With light trickles, our children continue their learning and play outdoors, suited up in our cosy, provided raincoats—making the most of every moment in nature.

Of course, we always stay weather-conscious. When the rain picks up, our experiences seamlessly move into our spacious covered areas, including our indoor spaces, bubble rooms, art studio, and verandah—ensuring the learning and exploration never misses a beat.

It’s all part of preparing for the cooler months ahead, where the fun, creativity, and curiosity continue to shine—rain, hail or shine ā˜”šŸ’›
