Client Journal

As I approach the end of the EP7 coaching program, I’ve been reflecting on what this experience has truly meant for me.

One theme that keeps coming up is how deeply I’m affected by moments of disrespect — how easily I internalise them, replay them, and question my worth.

The coaching process has encouraged me to confront these experiences more directly — to stop shrinking or avoiding conflict in order to keep the peace. While it feels uncomfortable, it’s also freeing.

I’ve been learning that true empowerment it’s about being able to respond from self-respect rather than self-doubt.

Some of the key principles I’m holding onto:

Self-worth: When I’m anchored in my own value, others’ criticism no longer defines me.
Intuition: Trusting my inner voice leads to stronger, more authentic decisions than relying on external judgments.
Dignity: Internalising disrespect erodes both my dignity and sense of worth.
Respect: The way I respect myself sets the standard for how others treat me.
Compassion: I offer compassion to myself first, then to others who act from their own pain.

This journey has not been about quick transformation. It has been about learning to sit with discomfort, to face the parts of myself that still seek validation yet hide, and to rebuild a more stable inner foundation. Each uncomfortable encounter, each loss of confidence, has been an invitation to strengthen my self-respect and compassion rather than collapse into self-blame.

Client Journal Entry during Step 4 Intuition - of the EP7 Coaching Program: -

✨ Learning to trust my intuition in the middle of uncertainty.
The job market is tough, and the pressure is real — but I’m choosing to slow down, breathe, and listen within.
Even when fear creeps in, there’s a quieter voice underneath it all…reminding me I don’t have to abandon myself to survive.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pull to reconnect with my intuition. I want to live from a place of safety, security, and self-worth — not because life feels easy right now, but because I’ve realised these things can’t come from the outside anymore.
That choice hasn't erased the anxiety — it's still very much present. The truth is, I’m back in the job market, and it’s incredibly tough. Knowing that marketing roles receive over 100 applications makes it hard not to feel discouraged. In the past, I accepted some roles just to pay the bills. I pushed through the pressure, but it left me feeling misaligned and emotionally drained. Those environments didn’t reflect who I truly am — and now, without a clear sense of purpose or direction, the uncertainty feels even heavier, especially as my savings continue to shrink.
I’m tired of reshaping myself to fit roles and environments that don’t fit me. Still, the fear of the unknown — of not knowing what’s next — can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m turning to my intuition. Not as a luxury, but as a survival skill. Probably the only one that truly matters right now.
When I landed my first marketing role back in London, I never imagined my career would be shaped by so many unexpected twists — from job changes to restructures, most of them completely out of my control. I’m exhausted from being caught in the same cycle, constantly adjusting to instability and navigating leadership that rarely inspires or genuinely cares. It’s draining to keep adapting to environments that don't feel aligned — just to stay afloat.
I remember living in London, just beginning to explore meditation and energy work. Ironically, it was around the same time my role was made redundant during yet another organisational restructure. Not long after, a friend from Australia encouraged me to apply for roles through SEEK. I took a chance… and somehow, out of just three applicants, I was selected and sponsored to work in Perth. It felt like divine timing — like something greater was guiding me through.
Maybe, just maybe, another miracle is on its way.
For now, I’m grounding myself with simple but powerful practices. I’ve started deep, steady breathing — slowly inhaling for three counts and gently exhaling. It soothes my nervous system and reminds me that stillness is available, even in chaos.
I’ve also returned to candle gazing. There’s something deeply calming about watching a flame — a flicker of life and movement, even in stillness. It helps me focus when my mind feels scattered by worry or doubt.
Next, I want to bring more consistency to these practices — especially in those moments when my thoughts spiral: “What if I don’t get a job?” or “What if I have to lower my standards again?” When I sit quietly, even for just ten minutes, I can start to observe those thoughts without being consumed by them. And underneath all the noise, there’s often a quieter presence — a steady inner voice that isn’t afraid.
Even in the anxiety, even in the unknown, I’m realising my intuition is still here. It may be quiet, but it’s constant. And maybe, just maybe, if I keep showing up to listen, the next steps will reveal themselves. - Pat K
