Eoin Lyall did a great job performing the music at yesterday’s ceremony.

It’s been a while since my last wedding but it was so lovely to conduct the marriage ceremony for Philippa and James in Cottesloe today.

It was a sweet, intimate affair with some of their favourite Aussie friends while their families watched via video link from the UK.

As the UK folk watched on while wrapped up warm in coats and prepared their breakfasts, here in Cottesloe, it was a very warm, sunny afternoon with the sounds of birdsong mingling with the beautiful voice of Eoin and his guitar.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as these two exchanged their beautiful, heartfelt vows and declared their undying love for each other.

Congratulations Philly and Jimmy!

It was a lovely afternoon yesterday for Bree and Rob at Estate in Caversham. This Dr & nurse duo met and fell in love while working together during the pandemic.
Congratulations and best wishes for your marriage!

7 years after I married her daughter, the lovely Denise tracked me down asked me to marry her to her fiancé, Bruce. These two sweethearts originally met at high school, reconnected 20 years later at a friend’s wedding and another 20 years of friendship, laughter and joy later, they are now married ❤️. Congratulations!

As my family gets older and my daughters start school, I have reduced the number of weddings I do each year to free up my weekends for my family. But I do miss the beauty, joy and love that I get to share when conducting a wedding.
Today I have a morning ceremony for a beautiful couple who were guests at a previous ceremony.
What a lovely way to start a beautiful day!

Georgia and Darren have waited a long time to celebrate their marriage and so they wanted it to be a colourful fiesta and they certainly delivered! Held in the new Barn at the now expanded Chapel Farm Estate, their family and friends were treated to many fun and colourful surprised like Alpacas, a ball pit, games and many “cuool” (cute +cool) touches. These two are totally adorable and I’m sure they had a wonderful time. They have celebrated every “monthiversary” since they first became and item and Thai was one spectacular way to celebrate their 112. May you have many many more to celebrate together!

Thank goodness the weather Gods delivered this weekend for the wedding of Anthea and Gavin at Bathers Beach house. Anthea was escorted down the aisle to her love by her son Daniel in front of their family and friends. After 10 years together, they are thrilled to celebrate their love by the ocean. Congratulations!

On Thursday I had the privilege of being able to officiate a super chilled ceremony for Amy and Murray at Hillarys yacht club. A lunch time ceremony with their favourite family and friends overlooking he boat harbour was just what they wanted. The talented Kevin McGinn was their photographer and the staff at HYC were friendly and attentive.
These two make everything fun when they are together so I’m sure they had a ball celebrating afterwards. Congratulations!

I’ve been very quiet online but busy behind the scenes. Winter was quiet with my first long break between ceremonies in 8 years. The spring wedding season is now well underway with a couple of secret elopements, and this sweet dawn ceremony at Illuka reserve for Leanne and James. They rewarded their family and friends for getting up early on Sunday morning with a glorious grading table and Steves coffee van offering coffees. I love it when couples throw away the rule book and do things their way. Congratulations!

Wow! This was certainly a way to finish the wedding season with a bang! Michaela and James had planned their wedding for 2020 and postponed for one year due to Covid (back then we thought it would all be over by now!)

These two don’t do things by halves as these stunning pics from Simone Harris Photography show. They met on a night out and both knew it was fate. James knew he’d found “the one” within minutes of them meeting and a week later they went to Ibiza together. They love to travel wide and far and have shared so many wild adventures from Russia to the US. James proposed in Greece, Michaela bought her dress in New York and they have found being home bound a big challenge.

At last they were wed yesterday at Sandalford Winery. Michaela made a stunning entry in a horse drawn carriage (Perth Horse & Carriage) and it looks like they had a show-stopping first dance planned too!
No doubt these two will have many more incredible adventures together living life big, fast and fun! Congratulations!

The only time you can get away with upstaging the bride’s entrance is when the bride herself surprises you with a helicopter ride to your wedding ceremony! On Friday, I had the honour of officiating the marriage of Cass & Dean as they exchanged vows at Caversham House. Cass was radiant with white ruffles but Dean was treated to a special surprised by his soon-to-be wife when the groom and his groomsmen arrived by chopper. A beautiful day and a lovely wedding for two very happy newlyweds. Congratulations!

Yesterday I had the privilege of marrying a very sweet couple. After 12 years together, Elle and Lucas finally tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony in the sunken gardens at UWA. They have found the perfect balance between Lucas’s love of adventure and Elle’s love of chilling out. Elle looked like a Princess, Lucas was dashing in his suit and the gardens looked like a fairytale. They were even visited by adorable day old ducklings! I have no doubt these two will live happily ever after.
Congratulations!
