Our Mission... To connect people to the ocean and inspire positive actions for local blue spaces.

We work with youth, schools, communities and corporate groups to address the disconnect between people and the value of our oceans.

We had a great time at in Kwinana. The team did a great job working with their to run the Kwinana Young Leaders event.

So glad that could be a presenter today. We loved the chance to talk about connecting to the ocean, ocean challenges and carreer paths that can help young people find jobs to solve ocean issues.

I found a coconut that didn't really belong on a Rockingham beach. Looks like it had some sort of message on it... but only a corner of the white cardboard is left.

What do you think its from?

Fun fact: A coconut is not a nut... its a type of fruit! 🌴πŸ₯₯

was at Whitford Public Library, on Friday.

We gave the kids and grown-ups a beachcombing taster though our 'Beach to you' program. We explored our connections to the ocean, how we can all help protect it and had a chance to handle lots of ocean treasures.

Feel free flick us a message if you would like us to bring the beach to you at your library, community centre or scout/guide hall πŸ˜€

Funky fish prints at Duncraig Library, .

We had a blast working with the kids today and their grown-ups. It was great to be part of the library's school holiday program.

The kids found out what makes a fish a fish, why fish have different types of tails and body shapes... all through a fun art-science mash-up. 🐟🐠🐑

Check out what our intern, Sarah, found at Cottesloe... sea tulips! They're animals not plants.

can bring the beach to you! We are visiting Scouts and Guides during Terms 2 and 3 and brining ocean experiences to your halls.

We had a blast helping the Willetton Wildflower Guides with their Nature Badges! 🐚πŸͺΈπŸŒ»πŸͺ΄

It was so cool to receive this thank you letter and two sets of the Marine Match card game from the peeps over at .

I'm so glad that Blue Crew had the opportunity to give feedback and suggestions for the cards when they were being developed.

Marine Match is perfect for all ages. You can play classics like Memory, Matching Pairs and Go Fish, all while learning about the amazing reef biodiversity. Keep an eye out for unusual ocean visitors in the set of cards!

Follow .marine for updates on where to grab a deck!

Our first round of Blue Crew internships has come to an end. We had our last meeting today, with a wonderful debrief. Blue Crew has been so fortunate to have had Keira, Sarah and Shaziyah as our very first interns. They brought so much to the table with their insights, enthusiasm and ocean knowledge.

It has been a pleasure to be a host for UWA's Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

Hamersley Pool was the perfect spot this morning. The beach was beautiful. We talked about why sea shells are important for healthy beaches, looked at some cool specimens and went on a scavenger hunt! 🐚πŸͺΈπŸ¦€
