I am an Ecologist who owned and operated a Certified Organic/Biodynamic intensive permaculture property with a certified organic café onsite in the Kimberley. Serendipity Farm is where I learned how to grow and see the world in a different way. I learnt to be in tune with the natural cycles of growth and decay. A living systems approach helped me to see that the development of the farm relied on t
he development of myself. The café, 12 Mile Café, was a place for people to slow down, reconnect, and experience fresh organic food and ethical business. Broome is where I started volunteering with associations and started an organic growers group where I freely shared my knowledge. Before I left, I started giving workshops on farm. I really enjoyed picking produce with participants, cooking together and enjoying lunch. It was a fun, relaxed way to help people on their journey by sharing information. Being in the garden allowed participants to see, smell and touch, not just hear me speak. Leaving the farm and moving to Perth gave me the opportunity to retrain as a community educator/facilitator. Now I'm starting again with my property in Julimar, just over an hour out of Perth. This time it's about creating a venue where community can experience diverse ways of living abundantly and I can continue to experiment and grow. My qualifications are:
