Last week, we celebrated Dental Health Week at Nido Treeby! 🪥

Our little learners had lots of fun exploring ways to keep their teeth happy, healthy and strong through engaging, hands-on experiences. From learning about brushing our teeth to discovering which foods help support healthy smiles, there were plenty of opportunities to learn through play!

We also talked about the importance of brushing morning and night, visiting the dentist, and taking care of our beautiful smiles every day.

Most importantly, we discovered that looking after our teeth can be fun!

We celebrated Jeans for Genes Day by wearing our favourite jeans and denim to help support an important cause.

It was wonderful to see our children and educators dressed in denim, showing that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. 💙👖

Our Classroom 1 have been exploring emotions and feelings through the wonderful story The Colour Monster. Together, we've been talking about different emotions, learning to recognise how we feel, and discovering healthy ways to express those feelings.

To extend this learning, we've created a special provocation corner where children can explore emotions through play, conversation, and hands-on experiences.

This learning connects with the Nido Kindergarten Curriculum Learning Branch 5: Healthy Minds and Bodies, supporting children to develop self-regulation.

Through these experiences, children are beginning to understand and manage their emotions, behaviours, and actions while learning to express themselves in safe, appropriate, and healthy ways.

A big thank you to Treeby Primary School for welcoming our future Kindy students for such a wonderful excursion!

Inspired by Yo-Chi, we created a fun yogurt bar where the children became the chefs! They chose their own toppings, mixed their favorite combinations, and created delicious treats that were uniquely theirs.

It was a wonderful way to encourage independence, decision-making, creativity, and plenty of smiles. Watching each child proudly build their own yogurt creation was the sweetest part of the day! 💛
